Terry literally just said we only lost in the first round once in the last few years. The beat writers had to remind him that we lost to the Pels and the Warriors in the first round in the last TWO years.
No, but one part of the lesson is universal: don't fear change. That applies to the GM, the coach, and the roster.
I think there was a misunderstanding here. Neil said Terry's contract had been extended for the next 20 minutes. barfo
I like Stotts. He's a decent coach that players love. However...... This shows me the organization is fine with being adequate.
Agreed. I've been calling for change. Terry is the longest tenured active coach after Pop/Spo/Carlisle. He ain't on their level to warrant this leash.
The corollary to that is: Don't assume that all change is going to be good. I'm sure that there's another Mike Schuler out there somewhere just waiting for a chance.
Of the 4 teams in the Western Conference finals we easily had the least talent (without Nurkic) by a wide margin IMO. Its not a coaching issue with him, its a personnel issue with this team. I mean Harkless, Aminu, Turner were relied upon way too much. Realistically this team is a key wing player away from a legit title contender. We were up 15 plus in 3 of the games against the big bad Warriors. Yet, we folded like a cheap tent. Mainly because you just can't count on the 2 guards to go out there and play hero ball all the time. I mean shit, even a washed up Iguodala basically carried Golden State past a Rockets team and sunk them in game 6.
