I'd love to see Terry offer Tom Thibideau a position as defensive coordinator or Bill Laimbeer a job as a big man coach...

I want Oshley gone before he fucks up this summer. As well as before he fucks up the 2020 summer.

An argument can be made that since Portland lost Aldrige, traded Batum, let Rolo & Matthews walk. That the players Stotts has had to start have been less than ideal for his system.
Even Henderson didn't fit the system.
This is the first year Stotts has had reliable shooters outside of Lillard/CJ.

Watching Raptors Bucks and they both push the ball up and create. The pg’s are really pushing it keeping the D on their toes.
I’ve been a bit tired of our pg taking time to cross mid court and dribbling to much. I’ve herd Stotts yelling to push.

Whelp, we're stuck with a shitty coach.

    Worst decision made since Turner.

We will not win a championship with him.

He's only loved because there's no accountability. They question his defensive scheme publically.

This is an awful move and will set us back until we fire him.

You think we'll lose in the second round next year then? Probably no more record breaking 4OT wins in the future? Stotts does a great job of holding himself accountable...he's just not loud or emo for the media

If Laimbeer coached Nurk, Nurk would become the most hated big man in the league, haha. Hell, he already is to some people.

If Laimbeer could get in Meyers' head and build his confidence though, that would be great.

It could even be a new assistant coach; a guy with fresh ideas and not afraid to propose them. I don't expect even that to happen. I heard nothing in the presser that acknowledged we might have done anything wrong in the series or might do something different in the future. Even talking about GS; Olshey just said they competed for 48 minutes; nothing about better ball movement, better passing and a quicker attack.

I actually kind of understand... Even as a fan, I have to admit while I'm extremely disappointed in how they played in the WCF, getting there especially after Nurk went down fulfilled my expectations (and probably more so) this year. I'm like trying to find the right balance of both being really proud of what they accomplished because let's admit it, I bet most of us saw Nurk go down and thought they're done. Most of us can look at their roster and say they've got holes. However as a fan when you give those games away the way they did it definitely doesn't feel good.

I actually think Stotts improved this year in the playoffs especially with making adjustments between games, what he really lacked was making those adjustments mid-game. If I was the Blazers "brass" I'd say next year they need to practice defensively multiple schemes and styles well enough they can mix it up mid game and not look lost. I think what really stuck out was that when they made adjustments the players at times looked completely lost because they hadn't really practiced it, or ran it that way in the regular season. On offense, I thought with Nurk they had started to look like a pretty balanced offensive attack, they still need more consistency from their forwards, but when Nurk was healthy, and even for a time with Kanter their offense was more than just Dame and CJ.

I dunno how long it'll just suck what GS did to them, but it still doesn't sit well with me.

He won't; I don't think he wants strong personalities on his staff or to share credit. Even said in his presser that most of the times when his assistants suggested something, he had already thought of it.

Thibs has been fired twice...I think his personality has watered down a bit since...Dame loved him at team USA camp..Stotts has worked with all kinds of coaches in his career...he's friends with Thibs...don't buy it

It's fine to reflect back and when you really think about it to be proud of your accomplishment. However, I don't like my franchise player and coach essentially being okay that they blew every game in this series because they got further than they have before and weren't supposed to be there anyway.

I don't care what anyone says to me. This was a winnable series and we should be talking about if the Blazers can really finish off the Warriors and play in the Finals. We got here great! I am really happy with that. A true competitor would be mad though that they choked away the last three games no matter how unlikely beating the Warriors would've been because they let those games slip away with mental errors, poor decisions, horrible plays, and sloppiness.

The national media has talked all year about how Dame needs to leave Portland if he wants to win. That's bullshit. They could've won this year despite all the shit that happened to them. From the moment they lost to the Pelicans this year until the final seconds of game 7 against the Nuggets if you would've told me they'd make the WCF I'd be so happy and I was happy. That doesn't excuse the inexplicable shitting of the bed this whole series though and I'm not going to change my mind as to the opportunity they just gave up on because they were just happy to be there.

I know this sounds really negative. I just wish the team seemed to care a little more about the way they got swept. I'm hoping the have the same motivation all of last year to take this even further next year but the feeling I'm getting is that of complacency and being content with themselves. It's fucking hard to get this far, especially the last couple decades in the west. They can be happy and proud for sure, I just wish it stung a little more that they imploded.

IMO, thats a sign of a poor leader. Get people who think outside the box and can push you.

So you think its more of a coach not communicating this to his player?
Is it possible Dame isn't comfortable with it or wants to push it?
It could be both and I bet it is both.
