The last time I checked, yellow cars had the lowest accident rate of any color. Maybe that's why school buses are yellow.

Almost done and back home. Will hopefully pick it up early next week when I get home. Barely driven the thing in the month I’ve owned it.

I got a new set of wheels! Well new to me. A Toyota Tacoma, 2000 model, clean and straight. Four cylinder 5sd stick 4x4 extended cab Pickup truck.
Already love it. Just big enough to haul my stuff to and from the boat.

And we are good to go. Got the new ride back from the shop and the windows freshly tinted. Drove like an old grandma home though!

Looked it up. Quick check me thinks it may be a bit better than Sonax car wash but I recently switched to Sonax stuff and love it. Especially the Polymer Net Shield.

Problem is that the water beads up and runs off the car so fast I have to keep it wet so it doesn't dry before I finish washing it. I haven't let it and it did get sprinkled on during a rainy day and the water spots came right off. Which is a good sign. image000000_30.jpg

My wife got out to her car the first day after and some guy was staring at it and asked her where she got it detailed. Haha

Those houses aren't mine. Those are the "modern" three story wastes of space with no elevators. 600 thousand and up...no thanks.

That pic is facing east. Just to the southwest above me they are cutting huge lots into the mountain. I don't know who could afford them other than the Raiders players when they move here.

If you care about your paint, always wash your car with two buckets. One bucket for the soap, another with just water to rinse off your mitt after you wash each section. Of course you could go hardcore and get a foam sprayer.

Some of my favorite easy detailing products:

F11 TopCoat - easy to apply, makes your paint slick and very shiny, water beads off like crazy. Kinda expensive. I use this about every 3 months.

Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax - not as good as F11 TopCoat, but very good for the price. I use this about once a month. Also very easy to apply. I put it on my wheels also. Helps keep brake dust from building up.

Mothers Speed Clay 2.0 - I use this a couple times a year. Makes your car very smooth, gets rid of grit on your paint. I use it with the Turtle Wax Ice Spray. Your paint needs to be lubricated when using it.

    Rapid Dry Towel

I'm still searching for a good tire dressing. I want a medium amount of shine and no black dust sling on the fenders. I'm currently using Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel. It's good, but I do need to wipe off black dust sling every few days.

I've got a buffer and some waxes that you apply in 3 steps, but I don't use those as often as I should. Only once a year at the start of summer to get swirls and scratches off.

If you hate brake dust on your wheels like I do, I highly recommend Akebono ceramic brake pads. Very minimal brake dust.
