This weekend I am going to watch the wizard of Oz with the kids (found it at the Library!), and there will probably be a 2nd one I haven't decided which yet but no Blazer game means I should have more time!

You'll like it and the kids will love it. I first saw it as a young child and I still enjoy it today.

Your kids will like it...Return to OZ though, the sequel is very weird. It would probably scare them.

I have seen 80 of them. I have seen every Tarantino movie. I have seen every Scorsese movie. Every James Cameron Movie. Every Spielberg and Lucas movie. Every Scott and Cohen Bros movie. And many of those by the other directors listed.

Still, as big a movie buff as I am there are still quite a few on the list I haven't seen.

    Review 2~

Movie Title : The Wizard of Oz

    Summary:
Dorothy a Kansas girl who lives in a place ran by a really rich cranky lady, ends up being swept away to the mysterious Land of Oz by a tornado.

Once there she is challenged by the Wicked Witch of the West who wants the power of Dorothy’s ruby slippers!

This is a story of Dorothy’s adventure through Oz, where she makes friends and finds a way home!

    Genre:
    Musical, Kid-friendly, Adventure.

    What I liked:
I loved the acting! I thought the entire cast did a great job of playing their characters. The characters Dorothy meets along the way are all great. The Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion are all fun characters who have unique roles. They all feel like they’re missing something to be “whole”, and discover they had those things inside of them all along through the adventure to defeat the Wicked witch.

    My Favorite line:
“Some people without brains do an awful lot of talking.”
This made me laugh pretty hard, Great line!

    What I didn't Like:
There really wasnt anything that really stood out to me that I didnt like, the “special fx”, certainly dont stand up to 2019 but for a movie as old as it is I think its 80 years old this year, they did a fine job.
The lip synching on a couple of the songs were off, but nothing major to complain about!
    Would I watch again:
Yes definitely especially with it being kid friendly made for a nice evening with the family!

My Completely Subjective and Nonsensical Rating
    :
    9.5/10

Wizard of Oz is a great classic and considering how old it is, it still holds up okay. What made it so great, is when I was growing up is that there was only television to watch shows on and it was only shown once a year and on Sunday early evening. It was the anticipation every year that made it unique.

Didn't know they only aired one Sunday a year. I thought it held up pretty good! My kids were scared a few times but over all seemed to really enjoy it.
