It's amazing how many times Hollywood can take the same story and turn it into multiple movies - of the same story. Jurassic Park for example - really, it's always the same story: Dinosaurs run amok. Terminator the same thing. Return of the Jedi was Star Wars again - blow up the Death Star. This looks like T2.
No it's T1 The woman they are protecting from the creepy serial killer terminator dude is the new Sarah Connor. Sarah Connor says, " I used to be her." This tells us two things. One, the woman's child will be the new John Connor. Two, John Connor is dead. I find the female terminator interesting. She is almost human. She says she is human. What is going on here?
I wander if an aged arnold is still a T800. Terminators aren't supposed to age. Maybe he is the guy whose image that line of terminators was created in.
Well that was introduced in Terminator: Genisys, as a means to explain Arnold being old, but James Cameron has said that film along with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation are no longer canonical. He wants to pretend like they don't exist. Terminator: Dark Fate is a direct sequel to Judgment Day. According to the 1st two movies, Terminators don't age. I guess he could be borrowing several aspects of the non canonical films.
No, he is definitely still a T800. The last one got melted down though. How did Skynet get the chip/technology? I guess you can't stop progress. Someone else would eventually invent the technology needed. I can only see two reasons Arnold T800 is still around. Either the machines/Skynet somehow were able to change the events of T2 by sending another Terminator back in the thick of it. Or more terminators both another Arnold and a bad guy were sent afterwards, or just before the chip melted to go at it again. Perhaps, in either John Connor was killed. The only capcity he is said to be in this movie is a flashback with an Edward Furlong look alike. With them going in the new arc there is no place for John Connor. Sarah Connor said, "I was her." That is past tense, meaning she is no longer the mother of savior of the world. Damn. RIP John.
I liked all the Terminator movies except one. I disliked the one with the boy with the whiny voice. Which reminds me, Sly, how's wolfie?
Remind me of what a needle is. I seem to have a vague recollection that it used to be something very good a long long time ago.
