This could make a few of you happy. https://www.nbcsports.com/washingto...s-neil-olshey-warriors-exec-potential-targets
Why would a likely-to-be-successful ploy by Olshey's agent to get him more money/years from the Blazers make anyone in here happy?
It doesn't matter if Olshey leaves, so long as his subordinates who do all the research, work and player evaluations stay.
Number of teams will have interest in Olshey. Portland could be looked at as a junior training ground for NBA exec's, players and coaches?
It's uncertain the level of pursuit for Olshey from Washington, but the Wizards could face another uphill climb trying to lure the proven executive considering the similar contractual and team success to Connelly's situation. The general interest in Olshey began several weeks back, but the Wizards had yet to ask the Blazers for permission to interview Olshey as of Wednesday according to a source. Portland's season ended Monday with the Game 4 loss to Golden State.
Wasn't it WA? that asked for permission this last summer? Or was it Atlanta? Anyway the team didn't give permission.
What ever happened to the rumor that Lakers were going to hire a GM that was currently in the playoffs - and was getting his 'unofficial' approval on their coaching hires? Was thinking that NO was a likely canidant
Would any of you leave Portland for Washington right now? They've got Jon Wall on the books for the super max and is basically untradeable. He could trade Beal pretty easily but would it really help as long as Wall is on the books?
