Welcome to the official offseason Trail Blazers trade/free agency prediction thread. Predict which players will be traded or will leave in free agency. You can also predict whether the Blazers trade or keep pick #25. At the end of the summer we will check back and see who was closest!

    keep: Kanter, Hood, Curry, Layman
    leave: Aminu
Trade: Meyers, Turner (god i hope so)

i can honestly see NO keeping the team intact, though.

I do not expect NO to be heavily active. It will be much cheaper to trade our expiring contracts at the deadline.

    Keep: Hood
Go: Curry, Kanter, Layman (if he recieves a big offer), Aminu
Possible deadline deals: Leonard, Harkless, Turner

We will do some dumpster diving like we did for Curry. Collins will definitely get more minutes.

I think we acquire a legit vet pf. Not sure just how it will happen but most likely a trade.
BG is my guess as Detroit is going to reload.
    Hood will be resigned
    Enis will stay
    Layman will stay
    Curry and Leonard gone
    Turner gone

NO will resign aminu on a lucrative deal and keep only Layman

We will spend all summer thinking we need new forwards and come back next year with the same starting forwards.

    Keep: Hood, Kanter, Layman
    Gone: Curry and Aminu

    25th pick Darius Bazley

Last roster spot will be a vet min backup power forward from this list:
    Anthony Tolliver
    Lance Thomas
    Dragan Bender
    Jeff Green

There will be several discussions but no trades during the summer.

See now I can be happy when we make a trade!

How are the Blazers going to be able to sign all those guys without a trade?

    Huh?

Hood 1 year, $4.15 million (2nd year player option $5 million)

    Kanter 1 year, $5.3 million (2nd year player option $6 million) Tax-MLE

Layman is restricted so we can sign him to whatever we want

Vet PF would be for the minimum

Wouldn’t we be hard capped if we signed Kanter and Hood?

We can go as far over the cap as we want as long as we don't use either the Full-MLE or do a sign-and-trade.

When sly got us tickets to pk80 was that two yrs ago? I was impressed with Bol Bol. Is Bol in this years draft? He may not be for us but I was just curious whats up with him this year. I didn't watch college ball.

He had a foot injury and barely played this year (his freshman year). He declared for the draft and I've seen him all over the map in terms of projections from mid lottery to mid 20's.

One to thing to watch for:

If the Spurs stumble, look for an LA trade at the deadline.

Hands are tied in a lot of ways, but I would guess:

FAs resigned: Hood (Aminu walks; layman too); AND some underperforming 22-25 year old UFA that needs a new location
Trade at some point: BG for expiring including ET, ML and picks

    Dame: Simons
    CJ: Hood
    Harkless: Hood
Griffin (maybe mid season): Collins: Skal
    Collins: Nurk (when he returns)

    How about this?

I know its somewhat lateral and we would likely need ot toss in a pick because Jackson, though out of the gates has been inconsistent, isn't yet marked as a bust and could be the type of player we need at the SF position. He is young and helps us in the long run, but can also start right now for us. It also gets usa PG for when Seth is gone next year.

It may not be a move going all in, but it could be one of a couple to possibly make us better next year and help our salary cap in the long run.
