Of course it was an Achilles injury, since, hear me out, he grabbed his Achilles.

    He’ll still get the max.

No, but I would argue he got out-coached tonight.

That timeout he took while up 6 was brutal but Kawhi needed a blow.

But Lowry needs to stop choking. Thought he exorcised those demons.

Also, that 2 min stretch where Kawhi dropped 10 pts and made massive defensive plays was incredible. I've only ever seen Lebron take his game to THAT level on this stage.

    shame they lost.

Don't the Warriors have KD's bird rights? They can offer him a 5 year max this off-season. If he's got an achilles tear there is no way he's turning that down right?

He has a player option for 31 mil. He can exercise that and rehab on their dime all next year then hit free agency in 2020.

That’s best case scenario for every team in the NBA (except those with cap space that wanted to sign him) — tie up $30M+, discouraging GSW from making any big moves. FUCK THE WARRIORS —their dynasty needs to end. No time like the present!

Not sure who to blame but obviously the Blazers are not the only team to make that stupid decision. It drives me crazy when players/teams take their time in the closing seconds only to end up taking a hurried 3 pt shot by the wrong player. It is one thing if the game is tied but not when you are down 1 fucking point. Kawhi was absolutely spectacular ....again, but what was he thinking with only 8 seconds left? He surveys the court court until they double team him? It happens time and time again from various teams. Run a freaking play. Attack the basket.

On a side note how about the offensive foul cal on Boogie in crunch time. That pick could have been called a foul 30 other times during the game and wasn't. So much for the conspiracy theory about the NBA wanting game 7's. They gave Toronto every opportunity to close it out in 5. They just didn't take advantage.

Let's not forget, dude is turning 31. May not play until he's 32. He might be a spot up shooter ala Laker-era Glen Rice after this injury.

The Warriors would file for a Disabled Player exception and get to acquire a FA for up to the non-taxpayer MLE. Probably Rodney Hood. Argh!

They would already be paying like 175 mil in tax. Anyone they add would really hurt the bottom line.

No, KD risked it. No player of his stature does ANYTHING they don’t want to. HE wanted back.

Swish3 shooting (60 points on 20 of 42 shooting by GSW vs 8 of 32 by TOR) left a 36 point TOR swish3 deficit and won Game 5. Kawhi got TOR the lead, but the clutch swish3 scores by Steph and Klay in the final mins were the deciding factor. And this is how we can beat GSW and TOR in the Playoffs next year with shots made by Blazers who can shoot >50% (or in WCF Game 4 first half 83.3%) of the attempts. We can win the 3 point game contest. With a game plan to score 60 (or at least 45) per game on 3PA next year, we can win the Championship!
