Apparently you are getting this info from a source I'm not following.... Any ideas on who's attending? I sure hope its legitimate prospects for #25 & not the late 2nd round prospects we've seen so far.
Hoops hype rumors and no players was mentioned who was attending. Sometimes I see some links who going attend if something I will post it.
Hopefully olshey have him in to workout either Thursday or Sunday that would give me idea if the Blazers even have interest.
I think Herro goes to Boston. Reportedly stood out in workout alongside Kevin Porter Jr, Nickeil Walker-Alexander and Luguentz Dort.
My dream scenario (in case the Blazers don't work a deal for AD) would be trading out of 25, getting two picks in the top half of the second round and being able to select Bazley and Okeke there.
I think both of those guys are going to go in the 1st. When it comes to Chuma I don't think the Blazers can really afford to draft one of the injured guys when they already have Nurk hurt. That could potentially leave them with only 13 healthu players on the roster for a good portion of the season.
I would pick them both in the first, but that's not where a lot of the mocks have them going right now. So this is just my perfect scenario. I'm also encouraged by Nurk's progress. And, as I've said before, I don't generally believe in "win-now." I think, same as you, that both Bazley and Chuma are round 1 talents playing in round 2 right now for reasons that have nothing to do with their upside. So you swing for the fences. Teams survive with 13 or 14 healthy players all the time. The Blazers could do that ... might be tougher if they traded for AD and gutted the rest of the roster.
Chuma would be a 10-20 pick if not for the injury. He defends. His shot off the catch is pure and he is big and strong enough to post. But I don't see anyone predicting him to go in the first round right now. If that plays out, someone is getting an exceptional talent in the second.
Maybe due that Olshey goes to those pro workout in California to evaluate. But the last 2 year we kind knew where olshey was going. Even Zach didn't workout for the team but he only to the IQ test at the combined and last year he had Simons come in twice. But you never know he might have a deal in place to trade out of the 1st.
If Pelicans trade AD before the draft the offer is probably #4, Ingram, Ball and Kuzma? Then I imagine they reroute Ball to Chicago or Phoenix for their pick. Has anyone ever picked three times in top 10?
