I think @BonesJones would disagree more with his favorite school's prospect Brandon Clarke being too high at #11 but yeah, GW is MUCH too high IMO too.

How the hell is Clarke higher than Hachimura??

They’re both tweeners but Clarke’s defensive ability may be more valuable to some teams. That’s my guess.

It's pretty easy to find links from 2 years ago. My contention is that nobody knew who we were taking.

I read that story back then too. Key stanza that makes my point:

"It was kind of funny because Portland actually just sent out their team psychologist, and no one else from the staff was there," Collins told Jason Quick of CSNNW. "
The lady gave me a computer and I took a personality test, kind of, and she just analyzed who I was as a person, and that was it."

No coaches. No scouts. Only the Psychologist. It doesn't quantify this statement:

Collins was rising on everyone's draft boards. Not just the Blazers (unbeknownst to us fans) and after only sending our psychologist no one still knew that we'd pick him or that he was on our radar.

To me it was pretty obvious that they was interested in Zach if they did that just for him and not know else it might not been in writing but I don't need things word by word about someone in the draft knowing they was really interested in Zach.

Did what, send our psychiatrist an have him take a test on an I pad? No coaches or scouts or real representatives on the team?

I'd wager to say that all of our draft picks spoke to the psych doctor... That's protocol...

I guess we can agree to disagree but I remember distinctly no one knew for sure who we were choosing.

Hachimura could fall to 18. A couple guys are slightly low but its not egregious like mbadraft.net.

Clarke could easily go higher than Hachimura.

I just checked 6 or 8 mocks, and each of them has Bazley available, and us passing on him. A couple had him in the 1st round, though.

edit: Interesting note: Philly has pick #24 and FOUR 2nd rounders this year.

I wonder how many of those 2nds they would give for the #25?

I want their #33/34 picks. I've thrown that idea out a few times.

It would be a home run if Portland could get Chuma & Bazley with those picks

Or more likely we trade back and get neither when we could've had one of them at 25.

The risk is too high, draft Bazley with the 25th pick and we are good

Bazely's a risk too. His comparables are just OK. And Rich F**king Paul is his agent. I bet a lot of teams pass on him just because of that.

They absolutely need all those seconds. They barely have a roster for next season and if they extend Butler, Harris and Redick, or even just two of them, they will have no cap space to do anything in free agency.

They can realistically find job for five rookies.

A trade partner for second round picks could be Atlanta but they would probably prefer future assets or even money rather than our #25. They have three seconds to go with three firsts.
