Also, his PER was down 2 points from his career average. I'm not big on analytics, but some people might see that as a sign of decline.

Looks like the Lakers were like 28-26 in games LeBron played, too. Not exactly dominating.

I expect teams like the Lakers and Warriors to get handed silver spoons and golden platters. It is part of the NBA. I am not surprised Davis was traded to LAL after his agent made sure no other team should touch him. (His agent should be out of the league for that...massive tampering)

I am surprised New Orleans took so little in return. Griffin is a smuck. The Blazers will just have to win the old fashioned way. I am ok with that. That has become part of their identity. Some are upset with that notion. As a hardcore Blazer fan I get it. After every season I wonder, when is our turn? It's tough and at times depressing. But, I refuse to give up. Olshey is on the right path, the chop is coming.

Yeah it's just not sizeable enough for me yet. I expect decline because of his age and mileage, but who knows. He's LeBron. Dude's crazy.

Ok I guess maybe it wasn't tampering, but it was fucked up

One other LeBron stat: The last three seasons were the three worst of his career in defensive rating.

He's still great. But there is evidence of a decline and there is reason to question his durability.

Edit to add this: VORP was worst since his rookie season. PER was third worst of his career and worst since 2007.

    Buy some season tickets.
I've had season tickets for what will be 50 years and you don't hear me whining.

People have different emotions and thoughts towards the team, and that's perfectly fine. Right?

Thats very true and it's a decent sign that we are just as close as many other teams.

As a small market team, we cannot afford to mortgage our future like the Lakers did. If it is true they gave up the 4, pick swaps in 23 and 25, unprotected in 24, top eight protected in 21 that goes unprotected in 22 if not conveyed, that is a bunch of eggs in one basket. Davis has proved to be injury prone. I am good with the Lakers doing this deal instead of us.

i didnt think we had a chance, but was kinda surprised with the configuration of the LA deal, but not shocked.

and yes, they'll wait to allow LA to sign another star.

we're not allowed to have really nice things, most teams arent. the WCF was our nice thing. With a healthy Nurk, would it have been different? maybe.

we definitely need a starting SF and PF of respectable quality and have exactly nobody to blame for the 42M we have into Meyers n ET.

Do i think things can change? yeah, i do. we had a lot of shine this season and Dame is a popular guy with other players, will that translate to them wanting to come here, fuckin hope so.

It's going to fail for them. They don't have a bench, LeBron is getting old and Davis is made of fine china.

Correct. We were never going to get him. Regardless of who our GM is. It wasn't going to happen.
