Remains to be seen. I think so, too. This is the year to do it. Lot of value in the bottom of the first/top of the second.
The only guy I think we've worked out that seems to slot around 25 is KZ. I wouldn't hate that pick; it makes a decent amount of sense. There are other guys that should be available that I like a lot more. Doesn't mean anything, really, but I get the vibe we won't be using the 25th pick for ourselves if we do use it at all.
Sounds like my kind of guy: "In September 2016, Huell was arrested after breaking into his girlfriend's dorm room at Florida International University. According to police, he forcefully dragged a male visitor out of the room, leaving him with scratches on his chest.[1] Despite the assault charge, Huell did not miss any playing time for the Hurricanes.["
Either we trading our 1 or olshey already have there target on someone that he didn't bring in. Maybe he already got trade one of his expiring contract. Now a team that I am thinking of is the kings that don't have a 1st but have 3 second or Atlanta.
Obviously he makes more sense in the second round based on mocks and stuff but I'd absolutely love to get him. His mentality and personality couldn't be any better, and while he's a little bit of a tweener, I think he'll be a great bench player for sure.
I dont think we should draft him with the 25th pick, but if we trade down, he could be a Blazer. This is the type of guy Neil likes
I like when I seen him during the year. He is 2nd rounder so if the Blazers wants him I suppose they actually could get him.
I've been pondering.... With Boston & Atlanta having so many picks, would anyone be willing to trade the 2020 pick for #17, #20, #21, or #22 (so then we have 2 picks this week)? If so, what players would you trade the 2020 pick for? Personally, I think if you can draft Bol Bol with Boston's 20 pick, you do it. I don't think there is anyone else that I'd trade up for in this draft.
This time last year Simons was linked with Portland -- the only player that they worked out twice. Dead silent this year.
I wouldn't want a second pick higher than we have right now. I think you lose value in this draft, where the 35th player doesn't seem much different than the 15th. You might get a lot better player at say 25 next year than you would at 17 this year.
We’re moving up or out imo. It makes very little sense to stick at #25 considering where we are as a team, the amount of expirings we have, the cap situation, and the rotation players we could lose. I think the plan was to trade out last year as well, until they realized no one was interested. We’re in a much better position now. Turner, Moe, and Leonard are all assets.
