I'm concerned about his shooting... 3pt% usually translates when you're a good free throw shooter. His FT% declined every year.

Jay Wright coaches ELITE level defense and recruits players who can play ELITE level defense.

I think, if both are available, you take Bazely 100/100 times over Grant. :dunno:

If Bazley went to Syracuse instead of sitting out I wonder if we all would still like him, considering Syracuse players fuckin suck in the nba.

If you don't think Grant is a shooter in the NBA, I could agree with this (maybe not to the same level though).

But I'm pretty high on both. Just for very different reasons. Bazley definitely has more traditional star upside, but I think Grant has the unique set of ancillary skills and a good deal of shooting upside to be the star role player that every championship level team needs.

And I understand the viewpoint of "you can sign someone Williams, but only get a chance at players like Bazely in the draft", but I think if Williams hits, he's not just your run of the mill MLE type role player.

LOL at all the Rich Paul haters...

Most of you have probably NEVER spoke up or said much negative about agents until him. He is doing nothing that hasn't been done before except being more public about it.

He's just young and black while doing it.

Being young, black, and outspoken causes public ire. Lots are mad just because got into being an agent by having a strong work ethic and a good relationship with Lebron.

Athletes for the most part cannot control their destinies. Play where you're drafted, play where you're traded to. People are hating because players are exhibiting a level of control on where they get to play.

I have some glasses for y'all:

    upload_2019-6-18_14-50-0.png

    Cases in point:

Kobe demanded a trade from the Lakers. Any talk about his agent? Shaq demanded a trade FROM LA to MIA. I don't even know his agent's name off top...
Kyrie Irving demanded a trade and people talked MAD SHIT about HIM and how stupid his decision was. Nothing about his agent who he just fired...
What about when Jimmy Butler demanded a trade? Folks were CLAMORING for us to get him... Not one word about his agent...
Paul George's trade demand was a "gut punch" in Kevin Prichard's words. "Paul George delivered "gut punch" to Pacers was the headline, NOT his agents. No mention of his agent in here either...
No one was really talking about Kawhi's agent when his infamous trade request was demanded. Nope. Only talking shit about Kawhi who made a GOOD CHOICE...
Le'Veon Bell sat out a whole NFL season (more than likely at the behest of his agent). Crickets about his agent.

I could go on but why:

Here's a list of very famous NBA players who demanded trades. NO TALK about Agents.

Chris Paul is now demanding a trade out of HOU. Is anyone gonna complain about his Agent?? Hell the fuck no. People in here WANT to see that breakup...

The selective outrage about Rich Paul is just that...

    So. :dunno:

Free throw percentage is the indicator as to whether his shooting will transfer to the next level.

This is the indicator that scouts use.

College 3 is nothing like NBA. But the free throw is.

Admiral isn't a passer, 6'4" in socks, a poor team defender and has shaky movement skills on the perimeter.

If he's an elite shooter and cleans up his shot selection, he may be a low end rotation player.

He's going to get his opportunity to succeed or fail though. His work ethic and personality is going to endear him to whichever team(s) he ends up on.

Rich Paul has been basically tampering with the Pelicans all season. It's not professional and it's certainly not the norm for other agents like Warren LaGarie or Jeff Schwartz.

Where Rich Paul's biggest client goes, thing are always chill and not dysfunctional...

KZ Okpala would be my 2nd target at 25. His height, length, athletic ability, and skillset seem very intriguing.

Everything I've seen eye wise says Meh to me.

Just didn't come away impressed. He seems pretty un-athletic.. Damn near every shot he shoots is defended (a la Adam Morrison).

I fucking hate this new "hip hop"... This MF is "singing" not rapping.. at any rate.. Push mute on this shit...

Hes 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan. You give him some strength and hes a great modern-day 4. His 3-and-D potential along with his ball handling ability would be good at PF.

Even if we accept your premise that, "He is doing nothing that hasn't been done before except being more public about it," your whole rant is contradicted by the ending statements. Of course no one is complaining about the agents in the other examples. Wait for it... Because they haven't been public about it!

For the love of god, leave the anti-black argument alone for once. It clouds everything you say on here.

There are times that I dont understand @dviss1, sometimes I disagree with him that something is racist or not, but the thing is, at least personally as a white guy I havent experienced racism in the same way he has. So instead of telling him I think he’s wrong and he needs to shut up about it, I try to shut up and just listen to him. Try understand why he believes something is racist and empathize with him. It doesnt mean that I will always agree with him, but a very smart friend of mine made a great point that as white guys (the friend of mine I was talking to is also white) we see the world differently, and have had different experiences. His POV has value, and he should be heard. Sometimes Dviss makes good points about things being racist that I didn’t see, so I can learn from him.

Again I may not always agree with him or others but I can learn to man to man try understand that his experiences being a black man in the United States is much different than mine as a white guy.
