It’s why I think they should go back to letting kids come from HS, and kids who decide to go to college should stay 3 years.
I'd be for some framework along those lines... I've never understood why it has to be completely black or white though. Same with paying kids in college. There's enough smart people out there, and different systems of compensation that if you really cared, you could create a system that was more equitable and still not throw things out of whack... I think something closer to the MLB draft is what the NBA could morph to (which is basically what you're suggesting). I also would be fine with teams being able to draft players' rights and letting them stay in college. These leagues just throwing their hands up as if there's just no possible solution are equally frustrating and embarrassing...
I think they should let high school kids be drafted, but the drafting team gets an extra option year on the rookie scale contract. Both sides win.
The vast majority of kids who think they can blow off school because they are going to be millionaire pro jocks find themselves on the street with neither a degree nor a sports career.
I hope we get Fall for the SL to tower over all those drive happy guards and wings. Back to back 'chips, baby!
Going into the draft I wanted to add a wing who could shoot, so I'm hoping they're looking at King and Bowen. *edit* Bowen signed with the Pacers STOMP
