Ok I’ll give you equal to ML. Not a Zeller fan, putting up 10/7 in 25 min a game on a shitty team isn’t that impressive to me. I mean what does he really do that well? He’s not someone I wanna pay until 2021. We can do better at the deadline with the expirings than Marvin and Zeller imo.

Because he’s younger, better, and more cost efficient (less risk) than a lot of the other wings on the market? I asked this before, who would you rather have; Moe Harkless for $11M (plus bird rights) or Harrison Barnes for $80M? Objectively speaking, Harkless graded out as the better player last year.

Any interest in WCS? Supposedly he wants out of Sac?

Restricted free agent, do you think he'd sign for the tax-MLE and would the Kings match? If the answer is no to either of those it's a waste of time to discuss.

Could easily be. Even if he's not the same level of defender, he'll be helpful on that end. If he shoots decently, then he'll help on both.

So tell me how he earned any minutes at the end of the season. The truth is not always hate, it is reality.

Won't it depend on where the big boys sign?

Without looking at rosters, I would say the small market teams. Meyers and Moe have value, Meyers proved it in the WCF.

We would be able to dump either of them while giving away no more than 1 or 2 second rounders I would hope. Harkless someone might take without anything attached to be honest. We could also use them to acquire someone with long term salary, e.g. Warren if he doesn’t work out in Indiana.

How much cap space will we have in 2020 if we rescind all our free agents?

Possibly up to $20 million. More realistically closer to $12.

I wonder if 12m is enough to get Ibaka in 2020

Probably none, I dont think theres much of a market for Moe, ET or ML even as expiring’s. I would not be shocked if all 3 are on the Blazers roster past the trade deadline, but I’ll be happy if Im wrong.

I don’t think the teams that are chasing the KDs and Kawhis would pivot to guys like Harkless and Leonard if they lost out. They are more for a non destination team in a rebuild. Sacramento and New Orleans stand out.

It's really difficult to send those guys there unless we attach a future 1st or a future 2nd. Future 1st unlikely and we don't really have 2nds till 2022. The only way they do it is if we take back a more longterm deal otherwise they have nothing to gain from this. That's why the targets should be guys like Love, Porter etc.

It sounds like his agent is out there trying to get the team not to match, I understand that doesnt matter, buts it’s interesting.

Wow that’s not very good actually. Thankfully we will have full MLE from that point for the next 2-3 years unless we screw up our cap massively.

Dame will probably be close to $40million a year soon with CJ being close to $30million. Thankfully we managed to sign Nurkic to a decent value deal. I think it’s going to be those three + the young guys and whoever we get for MLE in free agency and in the draft going forward.

If Simons is as good as they’re selling, I’m trading CJ next summer.
