It is absolutely perfectly reasonable. However, he could/should have just mentioned that in the first place instead of acting like he didn't have a reason. That's why people don't like him. Personally, he and I have been on the message boards so long together that it doesn't bother me at all. He has good insights sometimes.
He was....briefly.....and all he left behind was a smoking crater. For every ex-player who became a competent coach you can find one who failed. Frankly, this argument is silly. He prefers an older coach and you prefer a younger coach....and now it's a dick measuring contest? EDIT: OK I'm late to the conversation (again) and missed Scalma calling a truce. Mea Culpa.
I will lose all dick measuring contests. Except for apparently the HCP. But that's just according to Mrs HCP
Why can't the Blazers reach a little higher? BTW, has anyone noticed GS has at least one ex head coach on the bench? https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27032925/sources-lakers-okd-talk-warriors-adams
I think young coaches need an ex head coach, and granted I would take an ex head coach who was once a fantastic defensive assistant coach like Thibs, but at the same time something can be said about hiring hungry assistant coaches who are willing to work their asses off to become head coaches. It seems like Terry has assistants who are desired by others. So it seems to be working.
I guess its working but I would like to see someone on there who had the status to question Stotts decisions sometimes.
