The Warriors with Russell better hope they can get a 6-8 seed. They are gonna be a SIEVE on defense and we're gonna destroy them. Understand this between your incessant whines.
I agree. The Warriors got someone to hold the fort until Klay comes back - and a trade asset after. The Warriors are far from done - they still have Steph, Klay and Draymond. They just need to retool around them. They will be fine.
That draft pick is worthless, i wouldn't want the 30th pick just so i can meet them in the finals (not that i think they have a shot at the finals). Anyway, i don't think Klay's injury was that bad. I've never seen a player running,shooting and jumping right after this kind of injury. They got Looney,Green and their moving screens back...still one of the best teams in the league and i wouldn't put money on the Blazers to beat them in a series.
I think Nurkic was a big problem for the Warriors last year, even when they had KD. I am not familiar enough with Whiteside to tell you if he will give them the same kind of problem Nurkic did.
I just read somewhere that Steve Kerr mentioned it that without a healthy Cousins this was the biggest issue the Warriors had against Portland - as they had no-one to neutralize his presence in the paint. This is about as good of a proof I can give you, I do not maintain a cache of references to everything I read throughout the year.
Who's the last player that the Warriors traded for any significant value? I agree that they've squeezed out good play from some random dudes, but other than KD, I don't think anyone who's left Golden State recently has been very sought after. I don't think Russell, at that contract level, is going to prove to be an exception.
