Yes he's 35 years old. But I am assuming we're in "win now" mode. Assist/TO ratio of 4.0 last season. That's nuts. Defense. High percentage shooting, though he doesn't shoot that much. He did shoot 33% on threes, but his great 2-point shooting (.652) gave him an eFG% of .579 last season. That's crazy. In the playoffs, his shot attempts went up to 8 per game, but he shot just as efficiently. His 3 point shooting was 35 percent, with 62.8 on 2-pointers for for an eFG% of 57.8 percent. I sure as heck don't want him playing for the Rockets or Mavericks. I'm sorry if I can't get that excited about our acquisitions up to now (except Whiteside). https://hoopshype.com/rumor/no-iggy-buyout-for-now/
Could we do two trades? Or would the NBA not allow that? One Bazemore for Iggy, another for what Memphis wants.
Whiteside, Collins, Iguodala , would that be the best defensive front line in the NBA? Here are some Iggy defensive highlights from this past season (of course we all remember that one in the playoffs too)
Hell yes, but Memphis wants something besides Bazemore. Second round picks? I don't know. Here's the Korver trade: The Grizzlies are trading Kyle Korver and Jevon Carter to the Suns for DeAnthony Melton, Josh Jackson 2020 second-round pick and 2021 conditional second-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.
Neil isn’t trading Baze to Memphis a week after acquiring him, no way. I’d love it though, I might even throw in our 1st with Baze if that got it done. Whiteside/Nurk Collins/Tolliver/Skal Iggy/Hood/Nas CJ/Mario/Trent Dame/Simons I know Mario isn’t a 2 but I think he will be handling the ball a lot in the 2nd unit. That squad would be awesome.
I hope you're kidding. Kent Bazemore? We can't trade Kent Bazemore for Andre Iguodala? That's f'cked up.
The best part about Memphis trading him is the Lakers getting fucked by the hour. I’m gonna shotgun a sixer when Kawhi stays in Toronto and Iggy goes to Dallas or wherever. The purple and piss will be left with 38 year old Korver and a bunch of shitty vets to fill out that roster. It’s gonna be glorious.
If nobody makes a trade for him, and he gets bought out, he’s going to end up with the Lakers. If you’re a top Western Conference team like the Blazers and you don’t have to give up much to prevent that from happening, I would think you would do it. Unless the the plan is to pray the Lakers fall apart, which becomes less likely if they can add players like Iguodala.
