You’re missing a lot. The Lakers and Clippers gave up what most teams wouldn’t or couldn’t. The Thunder doomed themselves when they decided to go with Westbrook and his triple doubles over a player who can shoot threes.
I don't mind. Both the L*kers and Clippers rolled the dice. If their big acquisitions (AD, LeBron, PG, Kawhi) don't work out or they get injured, they're schtupped. In this age, you need draft picks to replenish your talent at a low cost. Neither LA team has a draft pick until the next decade.
You’re more tolerant than I am I guess. I think it sucks that players can force their way to a city, and many times with the people they want. It feels like cities and franchises are so far down the totem pole. It’s just players and where and when they go somewhere new. It’s “fun” to watch the movement but it just seems like there is no loyalty. Makes you appreciate Lillard, Curry, Dirk, etc.
It's sports entertainment. The individual aspirations of the athlete don't Trump the interests of the league.
I'm talking about draft picks if they're gonna make that future OKC team. It's meh, but it's better than 1st round exit.
