Does that mean they need to squeeze first names on the jerseys now?

I really want Nets to trade Kyrie for Westbrook, just for fun.

If not that, then Westbrook to the Spurs.

Why the hell are the Rockets always mentioned whenever a star is rumored to be traded....... Russ makes ZERO sense in Houston.

    How so?

Including CP3 in the deal makes that argument over.

If I'm OKC, and I can get10 first round picks for PG and taking on CP3, I'd do that

    Heat get Chris Paul

    Rockets get Russell Westbrook

Thunder get Goran Dragic (expiring), Justise Winslow, 2020 and 2022 1sts from Houston

OKC doesn't get a ton for Russ but I think this is about as good as they'll get.

RW and Harden, I don’t see that working very well.

I can dream, can't I. Westbrook and KD deserve each other.

With his salary and declining shot and health, OKC should take it in a heartbeat.

Because Russ/Harden is actually worse than Russ CP3.

I think the Pistons are an intriguing place for Westbrook.

    Detroit get Russell Westbrook

OKC gets Reggie Jackson, Langston Galloway, Luke Kennard, Thon Maker, 2020 1st from Detroit Unprotected, and 2022 1st from Detroit Unprotected

OKC adds two more unprotected 1sts, gets out of a ton of long term money since Jackson and Galloway are expirings, and picks up a couple of young players still on their rookie deals. Kennard would be an interesting pairing with Shai in the back court for OKC. Detroit probably shoots up to contending for home court advantage in the Eastern Conference with Westbrook, Griffin, and Drummond.

Parker is still only 24 and he’d probably be a good compliment to Zach at the 4. Who knows, seems weird he hasn’t been signed yet.

Toronto signed both Stanley Johnson and Rondae Hollis Jefferson?

Yikes! I feel sorry for their rims/backboards.

He seems like the type that thinks he's too good to play for the MLE, let alone for the minimum. He was lucky to get $20 million last year from the Bulls.

I'd be stunned if the Heat gave up Justice Winslow. They seemed really pleased with how he was developing in the latter half of last season playing point for them. I think they might want to get an aging Chris Paul to help increase his learning curve, not replace him.

Paul is only happy with the ball in his hands. He hasn't been willing to teach younger players much so far in his career. Plus the Heat also have Jimmy Butler now who is also ball dominant. Winslow will have to go back to his old role which isn't good for him.

I think those are very good points. I just can't see the Heat giving up a rising star for a guy on the downside of his career. At least not without getting more back.
