I live right by Fire on the Mountain (and am in fact picking up food there right now!)...It's a great spot to get a beer and wings (or a Jamaican Jerk Sandwich) and then catch the MAX. And spend less than $20 for the experience...
I try to get my daughter up to Portland for one or two games a year, other then that we watch them all on TV.
I have no desire to ever attend a game in person again. The experience is just so much more pleasant at home. barfo
you could opt for a hot dog stand disguise and forget the whole trying to seem human bit all together
Moved to Ohio for a job so between living vicariously through SportsTwo and watching as many as I can. I also own 2 pairs of Blazers socks (bought at Vegas airport) that I wear on gamedays and text both basketball coaches on my staff literally every time the Blazers win with little to no other information. I've also randomly been saying "Go Blazers" enough to where my assistant AD who has zero affiliation with PDX has started saying it randomly as well. Converting people one at a time. Going to try and catch a game in Indianapolis this coming season.
I moved to Texas fall '89. Missed Portland (and TREES) a lot. So, closely following the Blazers was my way of keeping a bit of my hometown with me. Moved back to PDX at the beginning of '91. Been following them closely ever since.
My family has had season tickets since 1974. I go to about 20 games each year, and watch the rest on TV. My son asked me last year who gets the tickets when I die. For gods sake, I’m only 51! I now know I have performed my duties as a father well and passed on the Blazer Fan birth defect to my son.
