defend the following players: - Paul George - Kawhi Leonard - Lebron James - James Harden - Greek Freak - Paul Milsap - Ben Simmons - Kevin Durant - Dramond Green - Blake Griffin - etc...
I would experiment with Zach on them to see if he can be nimble enough and bother them with his length
Who will guard them or who will guard them well? No one did very well last year so if you are implying losing Aminu or Harkless will hurt us I am not too worried. Add Mario to the Zach/Skal list. He at least stayed in front of LBJ last year. Sure he scored 33 but he missed 15 shots (0-6 from deep) and came up with the big stop at the end of their game. You never know by the end of the season Little could improve enough to get some defensive minutes.
... shoot threes over the following players, that Harkless and Aminu would not take or miss, in order to create better spacing for Dame and CJ: - Paul George - Kawhi Leonard - Lebron James - James Harden - Greek Freak - Paul Milsap - Ben Simmons - Kevin Durant - Dramond Green - Blake Griffin - etc... Answer: Hood, Baze, Zach, Tolliver, Skal, and yes, Hezonja
You cant guard NBA stars straight up, you guard them by committee. Yeah you need good one on one defenders, but what you really need is a scheme that takes away a players strength, and try to live with making them uncomfortable.
Zach did good job on Millsap in playoffs and Durant is out for the season. Green not the offensive player so Zach can handle him. As long you keep Simmons outside the paint we will be find. The rest of them there going get there's the key is stopping everyone around them.
