If you shop Walmart a good chance you are a Republican, Target a Democrat. I stay they hell away from both when I can. The wife shops both when she can! I think Geographic start location is the primary reason, Walmart, AR & Tarchey, MN Which one do you and yours shop?
There are a lot of poor minorities at Walmart. They usually skew democrat. If we're making wide, stupid generalizations, why not just go for it all.
I shop at Target. Too much trash at Walmart, and there are none in areas that I would ever voluntarily go to. Here, they are mainly in the ghetto or trashy neighborhoods or industrial hellholes. Their selection of stuff is bullshit too. The staff are fucking idiots too at Walmart.
CVS and Rite Aid are like double the price of target. But you can get in and out faster and they have more locations. I like Target still the best.
Target is a little nicer. Walmart is a place you hate but are forced to go to more often than you’d like. People in the Midwest/rural areas know what I’m talking about. When the small businesses are closed and you really need ice cream or batteries or KY.
Do you not consider Fred Meyers a "discount store?" I like Fred Meyers the best, then Target, then Walmart.
I went to Goodwill when I was in Oregon this summer. Hanes white T-shirt’s, dingy and being sold individually out of the package for $6 a piece. I’m pretty sure the 5 packs cost $6 brand new. I used to be embarrassed when my mom would drag us into that place, now it’s so popular they are selling garbage at a premium. What the hell happened?
The are not in the major discount category of retail as Kmart, Walmart & Target. There are Discount, Big Box hardware, Club, Sams/Costco, department Penny's, Sears etc. I use to deal with merchandisers in these categories.
I mean, they are pretty similar no matter the definition. Walmart superstores with groceries have similar offerings. Aren't costco and sam's club considered "warehouse club stores" Walmart supercenters, supertargets and fred meyers are considered "hypermarkets"
I only go to Walmart to gawk at the geeks when I’m bored. The stores are invariably dirty and the employees are slow, unfriendly, unhelpful and rarely the sharpest tools in the shed. Fortunately I am at a stage in my life where “discount” stores aren’t particularly useful or necessary. I hate Target (for some reason all the red sets me off) but to compare it to Walmart is a major insult to Target. Target serves a purpose. Walmart not so much.......
None of the above. We go inside a Target or a Walmart about once every ten years. We mostly shop at Costco.
Costco sucks just for the sheer amount of people that are there. I rarely ever see that place not packed. Other than that, it's great.
