Fun THE HCP Fact......he has never been to a Walmart. Worked the Walmart Open twice in. Bentonville, Arkansas ,but never been in one. My family will definitely hit up Target, we love that place.
If you want groceries, WinCo is good, as is Bargain Grocery Market Outlet (or whatever it's called). There's another bargain grocery but i don't remember the name. Whole sale something? Warehouse or something.
Ha! Went to Fry's in Oxnard. Looking for some electronic part or another. They had that shit stacked on shelves labeled Parts! No discernible system what so ever. No one in the store knew how to find a damn thing less than a major appliance common in both Spanish and English. I do not know how they can pay the rent.
For sure Sams & Costco are Warehouse club stores, limited SKU's. Do not replenish most season whole goods. They compete against their category first, then everyone else. Low margins, vendors pay for every warehouse built. The big box home improvement stores like Lowes and HD have tremendous purchasing power and had a huge impact against Department stores like Wards, Sears, and of course regional hardware stores. Kmart, Target & Walmart sell mostly non brand, not all, discounted items.
I try and avoid them all except Sportsman's Warehouse & Dicks. Winco is a joke, the ladies there are like mice on meth with them shopping carts and they WILL run you over. Then you got to bag your own damn groceries. Costco real early during the week isn't to bad.. Amazon's whole foods is a rip off. Ladies go crazy over New Season (rip off too) and Trader Joe's.
One person at WinCo tried to take some grocery items out of my shopping cart. I said, "You better put that back if you want to keep your hand!"
Right by my house there is a Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and a new place called Basics Market. I hate it when she goes to any of ‘em. I tell her to stick to Fred Meyers or Costco.
Trader Joe's is ok for some items like: Greek Kalamata Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce, Bone Broths. Whole foods has the bubbies pickles I like to eat with my XL man sized sandwiches. Lately, I am getting to the point where I make my own pickled foods, BBQ sauce, and bone broths more often.
No Lowe's? They get our business just because of the 10% veteran discount. Home Depot acts like you have to be a retired Admiral or something, to get theirs.
