You know i looked at that also. That is the real important part it seems. But getting a solid number on it was tough to say the least. You have to be able to upload if you want to be more successful for sure. One thing is for certain. A lot of people have something to say and a bunch are saying it. Most bloggers and You Tube channels start making money with Google Adsense on their media. The pay sucks, averaging between $0.006 and $0.015 per page view, but it's quick and easy. You Tube shares 55% of its ad revenue with video creators and books an average of $7.60 per 1,000 ad views. Now if you can get additional advertisers you can start making a little more but still you have to really be getting clicks to make any real money. Not sure on any specifics to your situation and if i were you i would keep that to yourself. But you have a long road at this and the journey has just started even if you have been at it a few years now. Just keep working hard and let things work themselves out. A year from now you might be in a totally different stage or working a different angle. Who knows? Good Luck!
I already make some money with Google AdSense. Thays why I've been using NBA highlights less lately (so that I can make money through adsense).
You are doing great. Just keep working at it. Like i said. You never know where things could lead. Good Luck in all your endeavors.
I'd only download podcasts on stitcher, so your not going to have me listen if you require people go through YouTube. Your limiting your audience and growth. Your decision if extra YouTube ads are worth it.
I guess the added Patreon exposure would make sense. I'd also have to figure out my sponsor ads and what not.
In some ways you're right. It used to be everyone wanted to get to LA and Hollywood and be on TV or on the Big Screen, or be in rock bands traveling the country. I think the younger generation sees those goals as almost unobtainable and a pursuit they don't have the means to follow. The internet has opened up a path that is much easier for people to go for, where they get to be the boss and call the shots.
Kids use to grow up wanting to be a professional athlete, fireman or a police officer. Now they want to be internet stars on you tube.
Appreciate the kind words @BonesJones + @THE HCP! We've been a Blazers-centric podcast since 09 but have been putting out consistent content on a weekly basis since the beginning of the 15-16 season!
@HolyBackboard please inform these squares who was the guest on your highest rated podcast ever? I'll wait.......
Check out CJ's most recent one. He references how he and Will Barton used to kill the starters in practice earlier in their careers but still weren't playing. Barton apparently was seriously thinking about leaving Portland for Russia after his initial deal just because he mentally could not handle being so far down in the rotation. You wonder if this is why Neil et al are forcefeeding Collins/Simons minutes now.
Understandable on the defensive end. Wes brought it, but he was incapable of creating his own shot. He had to wait for others to get him the ball. That said, we had LA in the post demanding double teams, and having Wes just sit out there waiting to shoot that 3 definite helped spread the court.
Wes also had learned to play in the post and take advantage of mismatches, was big enough to guard 1-3. Definitely not as gifted at creating his own shot and it's not very close but was a good 3 point shooter. He also didn't stop the flow of the offense, I actually like CJ's game but you can tell once he gets to a few dribbles he's gonna pull up and find a way to throw the ball towards the basket if Wes didn't have anything he just moved the ball.
I'll give you that, but I will say that Wes had nowhere near the ability to single handedly take over a game the way CJ does. Wes was a threat on both ends, can't argue that. People sometimes bitch about CJ dribbling too much, but Dame doesn't. He knows he needs help out there and CJ on more than enough occasions has pulled some games out for us when needed.
