My only problem with Meyers is that he took too long to develop into a useful NBA player. The way he played last season, I’d be happy having him as a 3rd option at PF/C. Before that...not so much. Smart, well spoken, good guy who would try any role he was asked, but just couldn’t develop a feel for the game until the end of his time here.
That shit needs to stay between them. The whole world really doesn't need to know their private stuff. Trust within each other, their friends, loved ones, and confidantes.
As much as I disliked Meyers the player, they (Meyers and Elle) are people and I wish them the best on their path in life. It has its pitfalls and rewards along the way. Stick with it.
I never booed meyers the person. I booed meyers the player. Remember, he himself said that basketball is not who he is.
Biebs "bet on himself", failed, and got paid anyway. He's WAY overpaid, and that hurt our ability to make the team better. He has the mentality of a jr. high school student. He sucked for many years. He's a good hearted guy and I like him as a person, but this adds up to me being annoyed with him, and certainly not sympathetic. I wish him well, but am glad he's gone.
Hey, @THE HCP , can we get an interpretation please. I know you don't like admitting it; but we know, that you know what they're saying....
Why all this drama? I wish both Meyers and Elle the best. But Meyers time is over in Portland. Time for everyone to move along with their lives. Make the most of your second chance Meyers.
It's a little more fun in Hexadecimal form 4abbeb5. It's nice having the converter calculators. Us old geezers remember having to do that crap on paper.
I used to do everything on paper because I was like I can do this better! Then I realized I couldn't, I did it the same and a lot slower lol.
I was the kid that had to know how it worked from beginning to end. I couldn't take anything based on faith. I just have a curious way about myself and the nature of things around me. The variety of base systems fascinated me as a science/math/history major. For anyone looking for a fascinating read on numeral systems and the cultures from which they are derived I suggest reading two books, "The Crest of the Peacock: Non-European Roots in Mathematics" and "Math Through the Ages: A Gentle History for Teachers and Others." Astronomy books also mention the variety of numeral systems within several cultures and how they all tie into their form of mathematics. All of this is generally encapsulated into what we call ethnomathematics. Another fascinating read related to mathematics in general: "Innumeracy: Mathematical Illiteracy and Its Consequences." Other topics of fascination for me: artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, language acquisition, archaeology, cultural anthropology, and many more. I can go on for days reading wonderful books within these topics.
