On the MMAjunkie Facebook post for Colby Covington's likely fight against Kamaru Usman there was a discussion to break out about the most boring fights in ID history and whether Usman vs Colby will be part of the list. With it being Facebook and MMAJunkie the discussion is not very good, but it got me thinking, what is the most boring fight in UFA history to you?

I put a few options that are especially memorable to me, but also left room for other. If you can remember one that you found more boring please share with the group.

Presumably you're listing the Shamrock vs. Severn rematch, which is arguably the worst fight in UFC history and my pick.

For anyone who doesn't know, the story goes that up until a few hours before the event, the UFC were negotiating with the city of Detroit. Part of the reason for this was John McCain's push for MMA to be regulated, if you recall 'human cockfighting' being a term for the UFC at the time. It boiled down to the event being allowed to proceed as long as referee John McCarthy enforced one-night-only rules: no closed fists, no headbutts. As a result both fighters essentially let the clock run out.

That is definitely the one. Both guys looked like they would have rather been anywhere else.

What was the fight where the guy ran from his opponent for 3 rounds? Eventually his opponent start stalking him down doing silly shit? I don't remember the story, I think maybe he missed weight and knew he was gonna be cut after the fight?

Lol, I forgot all about Nate Quarry vs Khalib Starnes. Quarry's antics at the end was hilarious.

I think for a fighter Starnes was just kind of a vag. On The Ultimate Fighter dude pretty much quit one of his fights telling Ken Shamrock that he broke a rib and couldn't continue. Shamrock said if he did break a rib that Starnes wouldn't have the wind to tell him about it.
