Why not say anything at all? Exactly. None of this wouldve happened without HCP. There wouldve been no fight. He derails thread after thread to make it about himself or with some sort of dig at someone he shouldnt be.

 

I consider a lot of people on this board to be virtual friends even though we either haven't met in person or have only attended a group event together. If you pay attention, you get to know their on-line personality and can enjoy giving each other crap from time to time. I don't know about you, but I work alone from my home. I don't have much chance to talk Blazers other than this forum. I wouldn't continue to do it if I didn't respect and enjoy most of you. Who needs the grief if you aren't having fun?

I respect your knowledge of the game and your basketball takes are generally informative. I also know you don't joke around much so I don't give you crap. I'd say that the flip side of the HCP discussion is that he pretty much assumes everyone knows he's screwing around when he posts here. Obviously, some of you aren't wired that way and you get annoyed by him. All I can tell you is that to a person, everyone from the board who has taken the time to meet HCP and/or gets invited to visit the broadcast trailer with him, reports that he's a good dude.

I pretty much assume that most of the HCP's stuff is written in green in his mind. I don't really have a problem with him though I can understand why some people aren't feeling it.

IF you rode the Max every day and had come to know some of the passengers and be friendly with them, but then one day a new person shows up and tells you to get off the max until you are 30, you in turn respond that you will do what you like, and that person responds telling you to lighten up and calls you a name and tells you he is a big deal around here and asks a security guard to deal with you.... would you just assume its a joke? or would you be , what in the fuck man is this dudes problem???????

There is such a thing as etiquette. Ill leave you all with that thought and bow out of this crap.

 

All honesty, you rubbed me the wrong way when I first got here too. I just ignored you and took the perks from the Mrs HCP. We shook hands and had a good time at the Magic game, which was cool. Water under the bridge. I'm not one to hold a grudge though (not saying anyone here is, this is not my fight). So alas, that is why we now have a love/hate relationship, like everyone should.

 

I've made it crystal clear that HCP needs to refrain from calling me "son" or "kid" or make jokes like he did to start off this shitstorm. I even told him why he shouldnt call me those things, he defended it with "Thats how I talk", and now he goes out of his way to do so (If you want to know why, you can PM me. It's too personal to post).

But guess what? He still does so consistently and I ignore most of them. He's trying to cause all this. He knows that with me, it isn't some "joke". I would have no interest in interacting with him in person either, unless there was some sort of apology involved. But "The HCP never apologizes!" so whatever. Screw that guy.

 

But that doesn’t apply here man. We were rolling along just fine for years with no problems with me until you and your boy showed up. Isn’t that more how it happened? I didn’t join YOUR party...... you joined MINE.

What was that place like. Like I said, I’ve never been to another forum. I think I’ve clicked on some links, but this has been my only spot.

 

I've come to terms that all I can really do in life is love everyone. Yet, I also hate everyone because when it comes down to it, people suck. That's what I mean when I say 'love/hate'.

I enjoyed meeting you too, though. My bro may reach out to you, he's about to graduate with his show production degree like we all talked about at the game.

Not a lot different than here. People tended to take things out on each other when the team didn't perform well, I don't remember the off-season being as contentious as here though, was only there for a year or two before they shut down, heck maybe I caused it! heh.

As someone who was apart of the previous forum before it got the axe... This is bullshit.

Yeah, not really. I've been with the forum since the fanhome days. There was the usual suspects, which definitely did NOT include the hcp.

In fact, the person who helped lead the exodus was @ABM.i in a good way. He didn't cause problems, he just led most here after the drama.

There was plenty of other drama over there. Mostly created by mixum and another poster who used to be known as someone else long ago
