So I take it you had a good thanksgiving and had more than a feast.

I think I heard a snippet of "Sorry" on an IG livestream about a year ago, and if its what I'm thinking of then itll be his best song yet (by far). And thats saying something.

Lillard should have done a revised rap version of NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye as a tribute to our OKC series and Westbrook.

Listening to some of the samples on social today from some of his tracks, a lot of it sounds the same as usual from him-- not seeing the growth.

    Topics in verbatim:

    - I've got money
    - I'm good at hooping
    - I came from the hood

I suppose he doesn't have much else to rap about, but this is leaving me disappointed so far. Like his Bagley diss was legit cool-- this overproduced stuff, meh.

Waiting for the album to drop to make final claims.

Yeah... I’ll still buy it but sounds like it might be his weakest of the 3.

Did not enjoy this at all. Listened to the whole thing last night and on my drive this morning, and am disappointed after all the hype.

He sounds the same in like every track, and it's just too slow for my taste. Even the Wayne feature is weak.

This has always been my impression of every Dame clip. I'm not a rap aficionado, so my opinion is of little value, but that's my take.

Im not a huge listener of rap, but isn't the idea to sound the same on each clip? Isn't that how one puts his unique sound/brand/name/trademark on the product? What can change is the rhythm, beat, harmony etc.

I listened to it...not my thing...didn't find anything to latch onto musically....sounds to me like Dame's not as hungry as he was with the first cd

Every track, the rhythm he raps with is exactly the same, the topics are exactly the same, the rhymes sound so similar, etc etc.

Either the times have completely passed me, or I've gone mad. How are the reviews for this album so positive? Are people just rating him based on other pros who tried to rap? Cuz if it were among all artists, this is not that good.

I haven’t had a chance yet to listen to it, but I’ve been listening to rap non stop for about 40 years. From The SugarHill Gang - Chance The Rapper. I think having a now 18 year old son and always being with the team I’ve stayed pretty on top of it. But as far as sounding the same, I think you can apply that to all artists in all genres can’t you? Shit, you can tell an AC/DC song after just a few notes just like you can recognize a Dr. Dre or Timbland produced track immediately regardless of whose rapping. Listen to NAS for example, one of the best ever. A track off of NY State Of Mind which was released in’94 sounds exactly like his newest release NASIR that came out last summer.
I’m not telling you anything you don’t know, but am I wrong?

Was hoping for growth to at least some better rhymes or more creative references or even ad libs. Still really basic stuff. He's got decent flow, but content just hasn't improved.

If he wasn't a superstar ball player with his platform, would this album get any traction in the public opinion?
