Its not so much about being PC to me as much, as I dont believe its trying to find a solution to the problem, but you make good points.
The United States’ Congressional Research Service defines a public mass shooting as 4 or more victims.
This is incorrect. Scandinavia has more young, male mass murderers per capita than America has per capita, including the most prolific one.
He said serial killers, not mass killers. Most gang members who are killers don't stop at one. Most are prolific serial killers.
Just sayin' what's all the fuss about? Nothing to this vitriol stirred up by hateful lunatic commie candidates. It's fake news. America is the most peaceful, most accepting, most diverse country in the world. Sure a few assholes are born here, but the overwhelming majority of them sneak in across our borders. Once we lock that down and round up the criminals, the dust will settle and prosperity will shine a light on the Deep State's shenanigans.
Well, you and @Jade Falcon should have a chat. He says 99% of people in the country are assholes. You imply here that the maximum number of assholes is what, maybe 2 or 3% of the population? Since most people here illegally didn't actually sneak across the border but rather overstay their visas. I say neither one of you is any good with numbers. barfo
I shouldnt admit it, but Im awful with numbers and doing math in my head. Really good at understanding formulas and making computers do the math though lol.
Ive gotten pretty good at linear algebra and trig due to work, and with pen / paper I can do math, just not great at doing it in my head. Robotics math is physics, Inverse / Forward Kinematics, gear ratio’s, torque, etc. I do some bit wise math, and binary. but havent had to do much hex / octal.
Linear algebra was my second toughest class. It was tougher than the first term of differential equations but not as tough as the second term of differential equations which was a living nightmare full of more eigen values that linear algebra.
Once my matrix get into 6 dimensions or so, screw that. Luckily, Im mostly working in 3d or 4d for robotics. Definitely forced myself to take differential calculus, but still I wouldnt say math is my strongest suit, I understand it well enough to make programs though! I actually am kind of envious of people who learned math prior to technology basically doing all of it for us. -Not trying to call you old. Just I feel like its too easy to let my computer do the work instead of making my brain work through the problem.
Hey, I'm not that old. Shortly after I graduated they invented electricity. See, I'm modern. When I as in my last year of college our profs invited us to a pizza party. This was just when electronic calculators were becoming popular. At the pizza party the profs set up a trash can and we all took turns throwing our slide rules in it. I'll bet the profs kept those slide rules which must be valuable by now over 45 years later.
I lost my slide rule when some asshole jumped me and stole my bag when I was working swing shift at Emanuel Hospital. Sure he threw it away.
My ex wife trained to be a nurse at Emanuel. That's where I met her. I use to go visit her every day during the riots. Heard some horror stories including the tunnel that connected the dorm to the hospital but I never had a lick of trouble in spite of traveling up Williams every day that summer.
