TIPS to young players out there. Get as much money as you can, then you ask for a trade just to win a ring. Don’t be like Demarcus Cousins.

Okay, I didn't say anything the first time you posted something similar about Cousins but you are wrong here.

Cousins was traded by the Kings because they didn't want to pay him and potentially give a Super Max contract to someone with his attitude. He didn't leave them.

He wasn't in shape when came back with the warriors and he got hurt twice. Now this injury I believe he done getting the big money due to being injury prone and he might be done playing too.

Cousins isn't "done". He'll be back. He's not Melo.

I think the Lakers will (or should) cut Cousins and pick up Kenneth Faried.

In that case, I'd pick up Cousins. Let him recover here, and by the post-season, maybe he's back and could take over minutes from Gasol (assuming Whiteside is traded and Nurk comes back). Even after all these injury issues, I still think Cousins will be a better backup C option than Gasol once healthy.

And it'd be cool to have Jusuf Nurkic, Hassan Whiteside, DeMarcus Cousins, and Pau Gasol all on our roster at once.

We're not gonna use that last roster spot on another injured big.

Oh I know. Just saying what I would do.

Ideally I would've not picked up one of Tolliver/Hezonja and would've picked up Faried to play with Gasol off the bench then gotten Cousins.

Just opinion, but I think Id rather have Tolliver / Hezonja than DMC. Achilles, Quad, ACL he’ll be back, but I would expect a guy who can barely move when he gets back.

It's probably true in that he shoots a shit ton more threes than Jordan ever did, and shoots them at a higher percentage. But I know who I'd bet on in a one-on-one game between 30 year old Jordan and however old Harden is now.

(Also: I'd have to assume Morey was talking about the regular season.)

Apples and oranges. Different game with different rules.

Jordan did it when teams could guard guards. Jordan was better on O by miles.

Morey must be having a LSD flashback to even consider this comparision. More offseason tabloid crap to increase his published word count.

Are you sure? I'm not. Pels sure looked good after he went out of the lineup. Like Melo, he might be a player the new NBA left behind. Great stats, but not necessarily a guy who helps teams win. And now his injury history takes over too.

Lakers will probaly apply for an injured player exception, which they could use to sign Faried. They might cut Cousins too who knows.

I don't agree with signing him to the last spot. Waste of a spot. He was already a far worse player after his achilles injury. He was slow as hell and made the Warriors worse. He will be even slower after recovering from a torn ACL. Gasol fits a lot better with the Blazers. That said Gasol is old, probably only has another season or too in him and is a stop gap. Blazers likely can't keep both Nurkic and Whiteside (Hassan may well be gone at the deadline) The Blazers will most likely need a new back up center next year. But, Cousins? He is not the player he once was. Can't even knock knees without his exploding.

It would have been cool three years ago to have them all on the team at the same time. Now, not so much.

Waste of a spot that we arent using anyway. You say slow then bring up Gasol..

Cousins isn't even a risk as a backup C, and the reward is high.
