It's definitely more than Oden ever made.

I'd take a better passing, better shooting, better defending version of Al Jefferson.

    Darn, this is horrible news.

I was counting on Boggie's bad behavior to disrupt the lakers chemistry.

I think his, “bad behavior”, has always been greatly exaggerated. Sure he's had temper tantrums but he has also been targetted by refs and given fouls, or technicals for some of the silliest reasons. Draymond on the other hand should be fouled out or tossed from like 90% of his games...

This Big 3 league is blowing up...going to be huge entertainment with all the old guys who can't play full court anymore...I'm diggin' it....I've always liked 3 set seniors tour tennis...great fun..little Globe Trotters humor thrown in for laughs.

Hate to see this happen to any athlete. I wish him the best of luck and a healthy recovery.

It just makes sense, especially if Collins settles in at PF. Gasol and Whiteside are both free agents. Cousins loves Dame. There seems to be mutual respect between him and Nurk as well (sending each other well wishes after their injuries for example.) His focus should be going somewhere he can rebuild his value. Portland still values traditional centers. I highly doubt anyone offers him more than the minimum. I doubt anyone gives him a starting spot either. He’s only going to make sense for playoff caliber teams. Playing in Portland would allow him to be out of the spotlight and focus on rebuilding his career.

Unfortunate circumstances for Boogie. His value is on the rock bottom now. I hope we do not entice him to play after he heals because with our luck he would probably suffer the same injury on the other leg.

I agree with everything, i've been saying for moths that boogie should have come to the Blazers to rebuild his career, unfortunetly he prefered a garbage Franchise instead of our great organization

Bummer for him. Bummer for us, too, because the L*kers just became a little less likely to implode.

    Agree,

But on the other side, this injury leaves the lakers with a whole lot of nothing for a bench.

Unless James and AD plan to play every minute of every game, they will have huge weak holes in their lineups.

Staying with my original prediction. Lakers miss the playoffs, again.

That's TMZ for you. The messenger of doom. Frankly, I did not see contact with another player's knee.

so basically he is going to miss 2 seasons in total, last and this. last year was a trainwreck for him. he had a couple of moments in the playoffs though. he will never be the same and his ego will have a hard time with that. he can't stomach being a role player is my guess, I wouldn't sign him for free

You could very well be right, but at some point most player's egos adjust after switching teams numerous times. Not all, but most.
My guess is DMC would know he was a role player if he signed in Portland for the minimum. If he out performs the player in front of him and still does not play much, then sure it might be an issue. But in that scenario it would mean he would be playing well. Not a horrible problem to have. I think the problem would be more likely to occur after he proves he can stay healthy for a full year, not next year.
