This is what I got out of the very well done video

Comparing both players second seasons, a case can be made that Zach was the better player.

Also, along with a large increase in Siakam's minutes. He increased his 3pt% from 22% to 37% earning him the MIP award. That is a huge increase. Zach has been around 33% his first two seasons.

You dont understand the premise so how can you say its flawed? Thats why you watch first.

Its comparing their situational similarities and a few of their similar strengths (which arent ALL), and how those factors led to Siakams 3rd year jump, and could for Collins as well.

I cant believe you think the difference between Collins and Siakam are as big as Anfernee and Michael Jordan. Amazing.

Yup! And the slight uptick in shot volume for Siakam should be possible for Collins due to how teams will play are backcourt. Many factors that led Siakam to becoming MIP are there for Collins as well! Its a shame some people cant get over the title.

I think he was breaking out during the Denver series last year in the playoffs and couple good games against the warriors. So this year I do think he well put it all together on the offensive end because defensely in the playoffs he was pretty damn good and his defense stats show that.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Haven’t seen much of an offensive game from Collins yet. Hope he has one.

Its weird, Zach looks so natural on Defense (yeah he gets called for too many fouls), but offensively looks so awkward to me.

That's what you get drafting a 19 year old big man with little NCAA experience. Always been another project.

The fact that Zach started to come out during the playoffs last year means he was doing it against some of the best players in the NBA. I think if the refs will leave him alone and a few of those calls will go away. If he takes the next step I think it will be a very exciting time for the Blazers.
Good video by the way. I cant wait for the next one " Anfernee vs. Michael"

Michael wasn't even good enough to make the NBA until he was 21. The premise for your comparison is inherently flawed. 0/10; would not watch.

    • He's up to 250 pounds, after playing at 230 last season.
    • After his ankle injury on July 15, he was just cleared for contact workouts on Monday.

Both these things sound good to me. I assume he will drop at least 5 lbs once his workouts become longer.....but I think 245 is a good goal for him by the time the season starts.

For some reason I was thinking he would be out another 2-3 weeks.

I don't suppose anyone actually subscribes to the Athletic and can summarize that article?

I think at that weight he's 100% center, so we're still very thin at PF.

I think his foot speed can keep him at PF for a few years.

Mostly about the role of his father as mentor, Zach's ability to internalize anger as a motivator, and some stuff about how the ankle recovery is coming along.
