Not a single person in here would call you a Nazi based on your love of fishing or the hitch on your truck or having a flag. I have seen it thrown around at people and groups who have been affiliated with racists. I think its pretty easy to avoid being called a Nazi.

You love to fish? That's enough for me to call you buddy. Don't need to know more than that.

I'm sorry but this is wrong and a common misinterpretation of the rule.

Rule 5.09 states after a third strike/after a fair ball. The runner is either tagged out or he makes it to first base.
No where in the rule book will you find a third option.

He either beats the ball, or the ball beats him.
MLB umpires have even wrote articles on this.

It's misinterpretations like this and lack of $ is why in lower leagues sports officials are lacking.
Don't get paid enough to teach 'fans' the rules. And when you do, you're told 'no you're wrong blue'.

tl;dr there are no ties in baseball.
Runner either beats the ball or he doesn't.
    No third option.

    I umpired for 6 years.

Never did I say "Safe because it was a tie".

And any umpire who does. Needs more training.

When an umpire can't tell which came first, the ball or the runner because it's too close to call I've only seen umpires rule in favor of the runner. Perhaps it's an unwritten rule. How would you rule if you just couldn't tell?

I umped for a few years way back. Never did I call a ball when it was in the strike zone.

Nobody ever says safe because it was a tie. They just say safe.

I dont rule in favor of anyone. I rule in favor of what I heard first, The foot hit the bag or the glove hit the mitt.

I dont suscribe to the "Well, they made a great play." Or "That runner is fast."

Out is out. Safe is safe.

If you don’t think umpires can’t tell sometimes what got there first- ball or runner- so they just make it up you’re crazy. And many of them use tie goes to runner.

This is such a load of bullshit. They wouldn't even be here if not for the people who are supposedly protesting them. Hell, they admitted as much today. They are here because they want to fight and cost our city money. Guess what...... they wouldn't have chosen Portland if not for the fact that our city is extremely easy to rile up.

    A. When did we start calling literally every white racist a nazi?

    B. I would bet money they would stop showing up if people would just ignore them.

I'm not sure most people care about the fine distinctions between different types of racists.

Agreed, but since that's not going to happen, I don't think you'll be able to collect on your bet.

They should. Nazis were an organization that wiped out millions of people and started a world war.

Conversely, there are millions of racists in America, many of whom probably don't even realize they're racist. I'm just tired of the hyperbole of "we gotta go fight the nazis!"

It's propaganda to rile up the left. Do you really think the proud boys are Nazis if their leader is a latin man? That would be like if Hitler had a Jewish guy leading the SS. Wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. You're never going to understand your enemy if you put everyone under the same label. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are plenty of Neo Nazis in the US. I'm just saying that it's a little ridiculous to label all conservatives as Nazis, or even all racists as Nazis. It's like saying all liberals are hipsters..... although not nearly as offensive. It's a stereotype.
