Yeah it's strange. Goff was good last year and should only be better going into his 3rd season with all three of his stud WRs healthy. I'm not sure why they're sleeping on him. That Goff and Moncrief for Barber and Wilson trade me and Damany agreed on during the draft. That's why I paused during my pick, because he was deciding who he wanted and wasn't able to keep track of the draft like the rest of us so he didn't really know what his options were.

I just dropped my D/ST since I plan on streaming, and I didn't have anyone I wanted to drop but I wanted Penny. So it gives me time to make moves elsewhere to open up a roster spot to pickup a D/ST by week 1.

 

I have my own ranking system and it values high risk, high reward type players over solid players that you know what you're going to get. The teams that are ranked high are usually because they usually just took someone near the top of the rankings when they picked. That's fine and often a good strategy but those particular teams have more of a ceiling compared to a team that took risks that if they pan out could make the initial rankings look silly.

Take the drafting of guys like Austin Ekeler and Tony Pollard for example. If Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Elliott's holdouts last into the season those guys have a chance to put up better numbers than most of the running backs picked ahead of those guys. A lot of the rankings aren't quick to react to players losing position battles or reps to others during the preseason. Plus I trust that most of us keep up on waiver wire additions and trades. Getting lucky enough to land just one starting running back off the waiver wire during the season can completely change a team.

 

I have a couple guys on my bench Im really excited about.

 

I feel like I got great value at 81st for him. I like to try to get a group of solid reliable starters then fill my bench with high upside guys who arent all that risky because they're bench guys.

 

Welp, I might have just lucked my way into one of my backup RBs being a starting every down back.

Edit: I hate seeing a gruesome injury like that though.

Eh, more touches and checkdown throws with a (now) good offensive line. It might help.

 

This sucks for the Colts... Most guys who have retired early did it long before training camp, gave the team at least a few months to groom, or trade for a replacement. Have a new starter at that position in place, and get reps. I know he’s been out, but I can guarantee they’d have different QB’s on the roster if they knew Luck wasnt coming back.

Mack was heavily affected by game script last year and this obviously doesn't help that.

I know they want to involve him in the pass game more though so maybe that impact is lessened a bit this year.

Touchdown upside capped a bit now too imo.

 

Brissett has played well in limited action. They might be fine.

Reports are that Luck told them it was a possibility back in March.
