The power of compounding interest still exist I maxed out my 401k contribution for 30 years with a part match, absolutely no regrets. I also invested in other preferred stocks that have done well. Investing is still a viable approach, determine if you are looking at long term or short income investments. Knute Bellies are the best commodity trade now.
Yep, I get that. My corporate years helped get me a decent 401k. When I left, that all was converted to an IRA. Since then, I was able to convert my 100% of my IRA (with no penalties) to real estate property rentals, etc. It's a pretty good gig.
Can’t go wrong with real estate! Our Roth IRA’ have done well and we skim off when it hits a certain amount to use for expenditures.
