Im ready for some battles. Seven new players, although you may as well count Simons and Trent as they barely played. Jobs are up for grabs. Guard: the starters are set, and Simons has the head start on backup point guard. Will be interesting to see if Trent carves out a role or if he’s sitting again. I really like Caupain, I think he’s everything you’d want in a reserve point guard. I’m rooting for him to get a two way. Forward: This is wide open. Collins should start at PF, but I think Skal will challenge for playing time and is a more natural fit imo. Don’t know who will start at SF, there are legit cases to be made for both Hood and Baze. I also don’t know what they’re planning on doing with Hezonja, four or three, but I think he will play and have the ball in his hands. Center: does Gasol play or is he just essentially a player coach? I think Collins’ best fit is center and if/when whiteside gets in foul trouble, I’d probably rather see him instead. Moses Brown is intriguing but seems years away.
Zach Collins Skal Labissiere Moses Brown Jaylen Hoard When was the last time we had this many young/project bigs?
So since it seems like everyone is back for the most part, I take it they're not taking a bonding trip away from PDX this year?
