So you wouldnt think trading a $27M expiring who might be playong well enough to fetch a first for a move for a star who doesnt have a "franchise pillar" at that position and has a much larger chance of being here long-term as valuable?
It's a good thing I don't trust Jason Quick to know jack, otherwise I might be depressed at the "news" we'd never consider trading a notorious flake who hasn't played a single game for us.
Would you do it if our team is clicking on all 8 cylinders with Nurkic just coming back working into the game? (for all you Japanese car enthusiast that would be all 4 cylinders with twin turbos working at peak efficiency). Because that is when our deadline is to trade him.
The sad truth about Nurk is that he is injury prone (freak accidents, or otherwise). He has only played in only 5 of the 24 playoff games the team has been in during his tenure. Nurk has become an elite player on both ends, but we need insurance for him if he goes down. It makes total sense to keep Hassan on-- just like it did to make Enes our primary target in FA this summer.
Would you have preferred to get swept by OKC so that way Nurk would've played in 5 out of 12 playoff games instead?
Ive read some interesting articles about this. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/385257/ https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2007-07/uod-asl071607.php
Hell you can test people for it. Test their situational awareness. No need to analyze their DNA unless you need back up to sooth your fear of being in error.

Idk how the whiteside and Collins pairing will work offensively but defensively they’re going to cover up a lot of mistakes and force other teams to shoot jumpers.
I'm just scared about Zach getting into more foul trouble trying to keep up with more mobile PFs. Rim protection definitely will not be an issue
