I’ve endured through the dog days of summer (the Sly days of summer?). Slogged through the slow days of September. I am ready for the exciting days of October. Training camp. Preseason. Regular season. How do the newbies fit? How does Collins look? Does Ant deserve the hype? How big does Little fit in our plans? Has Shawn Kemp lost 20 pounds again? And most importantly (for some at least), who is this year’s scapegoat? Meyers gone. Turner gone. Aminu & Harkless gone. Who gets the thorny crown? Who? It all starts in just a few more days. Woohoo!
Whoever can't shoot for 3 games in a row first....that'll be the player scapegoat. Stotts usually is when we've lost 2 games in a row.
I'm excited about this season more than the last couple. Lot of new pieces and combinations to watch developing chemistry.
I'm excited for all the posters who will continue to speculate on what hypothetical posters will say!
Disagree, now things can change like how they look during that 10-10, but I'd be pretty happy if they were .500 by the end of december. Now they would certainly have their work to do, but long road trips are brutal...
Exactly. 7-10 or 8-9 would be a 50 win pace if taking schedule into account. Gotta slay those hypothetical narratives though!
That could (should?) probably be a thread all unto itself. My money is on Collins, with Bazemore a close second.
Ecstatic is a bit extreme but it would be a 50 win pace. EDIT - When accounting for strength of schedule.
If they start 10-10 they will have done very well. But yes a bunch will be calling for a new coach and the trade half the team. Fire Olshey will be the talk all over the board. Then there will be the media bashing the slow start and team chemistry.
