Oh, I must've missed that. The initial time they talked about it they said it like it was hush hush.

Yeah I heard the announcer say he was leaving, but don't worry he's just going across the river to the Timbers

Nah, since we didn't lose to the Lakers last year in LeBron's debut then the streak can't be jinxed.

Just watched the game and honestly they were just hitting every three, contested or not. Not sure I have any takeaways from that game, especially since the younger guys, which is who preseason is mainly for, barely played.

    Next.

My wife and I went to the game last night and I left pretty bummed out. For a preseason game, that felt as close to a regular season loss as one game can be without it impacting the standings. I understand it's pre-season, but this is two games now, both at home and against opponents without their best players, where Portland has look frankly disinterested in playing. For a team coming off their first WCF appearance in 19 years, I would have expected a little more urgency and tenacity right out of the gate, especially with all of the national media outlets predicting them to have a down year. The turnovers and overall sloppy play is to be expected to an extent given the team is incorporating so many new faces, but what I can't sit back and accept is the lack of hustle. The defensive rotations last night were downright atrocious. Aside from CJ and sparks from Baze, the rest of the team was moving at half-speed. We simply are not talented enough to think we can flip the proverbial switch and perform like we did throughout the playoffs. If that happens, we're going to see a repeat from the 2016-17 season where we came off an unexpected trip to the Conference Semi-Finals only to scrap and claw our way to the 8th seed before getting dispatched in four against the Warriors. IIRC, we likely were lotto bound that season had Nurk Fever not taken over down the stretch as well.

To make it clear, I'm not calling for anyone to be fired or traded, but it's not great when you're already asking yourself, "It's preseason, but should I be concerned?" just a week removed from Fan Fest.

This team looks like a team that will win 45 games. Thus my prediction #45Wins

I just got rewatching the game there was a lot to be positive for our side and also there was some things to take long look at for this team. My positive is the way we are pushing the ball up the court moving the ball. The players I been impressed with is:
Bazemore how active he is on defense and starting shoot the ball better.
Skals: he can block shots and pretty good rebounder and he always all around the rim defensely and the offense.
Zach: he looks a lot more comfortable in the offense and around the boards on both ends.
Ant: very confident shooter in the offense needs work on the defense side.
Now the weak part the game is the switches on the defense side due a lot time we end up two player on one guy and leaving the top of the key wide open. So far the turnovers been and issue might be due getting use to each other. Next week going be to see if we continue to improve on those weakness and settled in what rotation Stotts will have and to see who starts at the 4.

Ok I finally watched the game. We seem to always struggle against teams who have good shooting bigs. This is not new. Phoenix had a center and 3 forwards who all can shoot.

Based on what I saw Mario played well with CJ and he played well with Dame. Did he ever play with both of them? Not sure but I think the ball movement with those three along with the energy of Bazemore needs to be considered when the opposing teams are so perimeter oriented.

Not worried about the center spot with Whiteside, Zach or Gasol, but two of them on the court together against smaller lineups won't work. Same with Skal and Toliver. Not sure how many teams will go small like Phoenix does the whole game. But it will be a problem for us.

If the Suns starters were playing last night we probably would have won the game?
