I personally preferred Jack Nicholson's Joker. However, Mark Hamill provides the spot on laugh and dialogue in the animated series.

I saw Joker. Joaquin Phoenix was absolutely tremendous. It’s a good movie. Dark, of course, but it’s really about more than the Joker, just about his personal problems and why he is the way he is. Maybe not for everyone but it’s well made and again, Phoenix is outstanding.

Saw it, loved it. So dark and beautiful. It adds so much depth to Joker as a character, on par with the Dark Knight series. I cant wait for the follow up movie(s) to this.

I'll bet I haven't been to a movie in ten years. Do they make any movies that star a grandpa? Most movies are designed for the young, i.e. under 30 which includes kids.

Can't stand Eastwood. He never should have left Rawhide where he was great. Rowdy Yates.

Just saw Joker. Holy shit! Fucking Brutal and violent. A masterpiece. A composition of Genius. A deeply fucked up movie. Phoenix deserves best actor. He portrays a Joker we have never seen. A deep character study of a mentally ill man, transformed into chaos by a society that failed him.

They should leave this one alone. No sequel. If they did pair this Joker with a Batman it would be unlike anything we have seen. Far Darker than Nolan's Batman. It is hard to imagine.

It's a really good movie. As much as Heath Ledgers joker is considered the best, I honestly think Joaquin is a significantly better actor playing the part, and totally made the Joker a character you cared about.

It's kind of like comparing Jack Nicholsons joker to Heaths. Jack was good in the role he was hired for (in the context of the movie)...but there is no way you could have him do the role that Heath did. And same with this movie, Heath wouldn't be the right actor for this role (and not just because he's dead).

Joaquin totally made it his own (despite looking like Phil Dunphey).

Seen it three times. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time, and in my top 10 ever. I've been a huge fan of Phoenix since Walk the Line but holy fuck is he on another level in this movie. If he doesn't get best actor it'll be an absolute travesty.

Joaquin Phoenix is a far superior actor, one of the very best in the business today.

Heath Ledger deserves his due. He became the deepest darkest parts of himself to portray the Joker. It killed him doing it.
