Kakko gets his first but an idiotic icing from Buchnevich allows the Oilers to tie it. Way too many odd man opportunities being given up.

Buchnevich sucks and that dumbass should not be on the 1st PP unit over Kakko. DeAngelo is a bumbling idiot. I have been feeling this moron will be packaged at the deadline and Lundkvist will be on the team next year.

Not enough offense with all the pp's they had today either. Lemieux doesn't impress me all that much but i guess he is what he is. They need to toughen up as a team, they give way too much of a cushion to teams in the zone.

Not a very inspired afternoon game. These games make you wonder about re-signing Kreider. And how many times are they going to let McDavid score on a 3rd period bank shot? He seems to do that every game at MSG.

Andersson's line was good again. Quinn is wasting this kid on the 4th line. My lines would be

    Panarin-Zibanejad-Kakko
    Kreider-Strome-Andersson
    Lemieux-Howden-Buchnevich
    Fast-McKegg-Smith

McKegg was 51% on draws for Carolina last year.

Buchnevich is just not a natural on the PP, which was out of sync today, but it's work in progress. When you don't convert on a 5/3 usually it bites you in the end. Kreider needs to step it up.

    - Tough to read too much into this game. A Saturday matinee after a week off just 2 games into the season is a joke. And now 5 days off before a back to back. Wtf is that about. Tough to establish rhythm under those circumstances and it shows.

    - This is still a one-line team offensively.

    - They still cannot navigate the neutral zone smoothly. The timing is all out of whack. Lot's of passing to spots where we're a step too slow or the lane isnt open. Besides Panarin and Z nobody seems comfortable just carrying it themselves. Has to change.

    - Buchnevich has no excuse for playing this poorly. He's playing with two of the best players in the league and still invisible. Given the attention Z and Panarin command from the defense he should be getting numerous chances a game. Hes not the type of player that still makes a positive contribution if he's not scoring or creating and he's certainly not doing either of those things right now. I switch him and Kakko. Kreider and Buch have had chemistry in the past and Kreider and Kakko's games are not clicking.

    - Speaking of Kreider, yes his center stinks and the whole line is struggling. But if he's going to be worth signing to the contract that's been discussed on here, he has to step it up. Way too quiet over these 3 games.

    - Hajek gets his doors blown off at least once a game. I call that the Kevin Boss award. He needs to be more aware out there before he gets killed.

    - Defense as a whole had a better game - have to think the odd man rushes are a sign of miscommunication and unfamiliar partners.

    - Henrik was pretty good.

Kreider-Andersson-Buchnevich is possible as well. Andersson plays all out every shift. Maybe he will rub off on Kreider.

Think the week off showed, hard to maintain intensity when you're sitting around for a week and the game was 1-1 midway through the 3rd. I don't mind Lemieux but he has no business being on PP2 ever and it was his stupid interference penalty that gave the Oilers the lead. Agree with most of what you posted Prod though I expect young , inexperienced players like Hajek to get beat, it's when Staal watches Kassian whack away at Hank and do nothing that infuriates me. It's not Zbad's job to clear the crease. Tony D is already -4, good thing he held out, better that his free agency status ensures him moving on. Seems the Rangers were in that pass first mentality, need to take the shot when they're open. Now we wait another week while the NHL schedulers play with their blocks.

When your bottom 6 is McKegg, Smith, Fast, Howden, Andersson, and Lemieux you will struggle to score. There is not one person in that bottom 6 who scores more than 10 or so goals. That is real bad. They badly need Chytil and/or Kravtsov to step up and be worthy of a role on the big club. Without them we won't have enough scoring.

The D has been better the past two games with the changes Quinn made, but still is subpar overall. We need to remember this is one more transition year. Next year we'll have more new faces on D.

One plus is I think Kreider will be back against the Devs? Not sure why he missed the first 3 games, but from what I read he'll be back against the Devs hopefully. We'll see. I would offer him over 6 mill per for 5 or 6 years right now. The good thing about him is he's consistent and plays with A effort and passion game in and game out. Exactly what you want from a leader and someone who wants over 6 mill per on a long term deal.

Note to chuck; I guess you didn’t watch any of the games since kreids has 2 assists and at least 4 breakaways in addition to his usual presence in front of the net. But according to you he is a useless piece of shit the rangers should just release. The more you post the less you show you know about hockey. Kreids is going NOWHERE!! upload_2019-10-15_9-6-21.jpeg
