Last 2 games Baze and Mario have shot the ball well that's a good sign.

I think the summer league was better than the 4th quarter in terms of quality of basketball.

Well there was a lot of positive tonight Baze and Mario that will lead our 2nd unit this year. Zach had a better 2nd half and got double double tonight. We got a lot scorers this year and it looks like we might have strong season. Next week it all start for real go Blazer!

He's not really playing a traditional point guard role though. That's why Hezonja and Bazemore will stay with the 2nd unit.

If Mario can shoot the 3 at the league average he's gonna be good for us. I've liked what I've seen the last 2 games

Happy that Moses got that 2-way

Trent is definitely not ready yet. Hopefully he can amount to something eventually.

Still not sure who I like more at PF with the 2nd unit, Skal or Tolliver ? I'm not high on Skal and I've seen things I like from Tolliver. Plus, he's a vet to put in will all the young guys.

What I want for the rotation

    Dame/Simons
    CJ/Baze
    Hood/ Mario
    Collins/Tolliver or Skal
    Whiteside/Gasol

I think we can pull an intersting small ball second unit if the situation calls for it. something like

    Simons
    Baze
    Hood
    Tolliver
    Mario

    That's an intersting line-up

Or actually depending on how good Simons and Mario are, sit both Skal and Tolliver and go with a 9 man rotation.
3 man rotation at the guard positions, staggering Dame and CJ. Hood and Baze alternating at SF, Mario backing up Collins full time, Pau backing up Whiteside. You can probably play a bit of Zach at C with Mario at PF too.

    Dame/Simons
    CJ/Simons
    Hood/Baze
    Collins/Mario
    Whiteside/Pau

That might be the most appealing to me.
But if one Skal or Tolliver is actually contributing, going 10 deep means fresher legs for the playoffs which is nice

I remember someone said about the Drexler-Porter Blazers that you could split them in half and both teams would make the playoffs. I think that may be true of Denver (guarantee it is if you put both teams in the East). Every time I thought "well now they'll be sending in total end-of-the-bench scrubs" someone like Hernangomez, who is a rotation player on most teams, pops up.

That would be an interesting exercise. I don't remember those squads being deep beyond the 7th or 8th man, but the Pippen era was definitely deep enough for consideration.

Saying Trader Bob was no chemistry major is a bit like the legendary misdirection of saying Seinfeld was the show about nothing, when in fact it was about everything. Whitsitt loved to pour anything and everything into his concoctions!
