Very good point! They should just forget even trying the underhanded freethrow. When are these big guys gonna start shooting them on their knees? Problem solved.
7'2.5" (w/shoes) and deceptively quick feet. His lateral movement alone makes me hope Neil locks him up to a deal. You don't see this in players of his size very often. Porzingis and a young Pau are the only players that I can think of with this type of lateral quickness at their size. And, according to Dame, is a quick learner and has made giant strides since September.
I was surprised that both of his free throw attempts tonight looked good. Went 1 -2, but the miss still looked alright.
Both him and Skal looked a little hesitant at first. When they settled in they both had a few good plays to build on.
Very young, so it's reasonable to believe he'll develop physically. Elite length and timing as a shot-blocker. Runs the floor better than most bigs. Heck, he gets up the floor quicker than some guards. It looks to me that his hands are adequate at worst and sometimes they look pretty good. When they don't look good, it seems more an issue with his strength than with his coordination. Seems to me the questions are can he put on good weight and is he willing to work. If the answer to both of those is yes, he's going to be the kind of talent who can contribute to a playoff team within four years. I said I think his downside is Javale McGhee. I think his ceiling is a better prime Hassan Whiteside.
It seems Lillard has taking a liking to Brown. Anytime he’d even get close to making a play he’d be out of his seat on the bench, encouraging him.
In five preseason appearances with Portland, Brown totaled 26 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and three steals in 34 minutes. ——- Not bad lol.
