I didn't see it either. Accidental foot contact was not Pass Interference. He has a right to be in position.
OK, the question now may be...who do the Ducks play for the PAC-12 Championship? The current South Division players are AZ State, Utah, AZ, and USC. UCLA is on the outside, looking in. Utah is currently up 7-0 over AZ State and AZ is playing USC later this evening. Good times!
The South looks to be Utah's to lose. And as a Duck fan, I hope they keep winning so a Pac-12 championship game is worth more in the rankings.
Good question. I tend to doubt it. We will stay below Auburn and I don't see them moving into the top 10.
like I said, a bit...I'm rarely accused of being a Homer... I'll note what I said, besides the pessimistic part: "the Duck defense might be vulnerable to some big runs and play-action the Huskies use a lot" the dawgs had some big runs and they scored 3 of their TD's off play-action ***************************************************** Herbert had the yips early for about half the game. A lot of off-target throws. But after the dawgs took a 14 point lead in the 3rd Q, Herbert led the Ducks to a 21-3 advantage, on the road in a tough place to play. That's a good QB at work I think the Duck defense has been a little overrated coming into this game, an UW had a great game plan behind a real good OLine. Still, they stopped the dawgs when it mattered
If Wis and PSU both lose they could move up one spot otherwise I see Wisconsin still ahead of the Ducks with 1 loss.
They probably should have called a late-hit on Herbert on 3rd down right before they punted for the final time. Game over. Adds to the salty tears.
We played to “not lose”. I mean, for as much as I wanted to rip out hair tonight, when the Ducks’ O has any sense of urgency, they look legit. Otherwise, they look boring and Herbert plays like a frosh.
Anybody else think Herbert is overrated? Personally, I think he's "good" but nowhere near all the hype he gets. He has an "NFL body" but dam he misses way too many easy gimmes, and rarely goes deep. I don't get it.... But as long as that defense shows up, they'll be ok..
It's an Oregon thing, obviously... https://247sports.com/college/orego...on-Ducks-Tennessee-Titans-benching-137131414/
most of the "rating" is coming from NFL scouts, and they have different easons for assigning grades Herbert makes a ton of NFL throws. He goes thru his progressions, most of the time. And he has a strong arm with a quick release. He's mobile with great size. It's also not lost on scouts that Herbert has been saddled with a mediocre WR corps the last 2-3 years that has had tons of trouble gaining separation. Herbert has to throw into a lot of tight windows, especially this year. And right now he's at 19 TD passes with only 1 interception. That combination of tight window and 1 turnover is coveted on Sundays to be sure, he has stretches in some games with accuracy issues and happy feet. That happened today. But he almost always misses in the direction away from a potential turnover. And today was the first time he's had to run the offense and make passes without the safety blanket of Jacob Breeland. Mariotta was a much better college QB. But he was surrounded by much better skill position talent. It's entirely possible Herbert will be a better pro QB. I do agree that Herbert probably isn't a top-4 QB like the graphic in the game showed. But again, that's based on NFL evaluations
Some of those misses today were missed routes. He's a top 5 qb which isnt to shabby and actually if he slips, all the better for him, team wise with hopefully an O line and lightening quick receivers. He missed his #1 target TE too. And, with 5 games left, who knows?
