It was only a matter of time until the NBA would stop tolerating fans.....

Just wait for 2021 when NBA-approved uniforms will also be required for fans.

Something tells me the NBA ban on free speech will only lean one direction. I'm not arguing it isn't there right to police the stands, it is. Just would be money that you can get away with speech that leans one way, but not the other. This should be entertaining.

The NBA one week is saying were taking a stand for free speech and freedom to express yourself, and the next week saying no free speech if it offends us...

I thought the NBA’s zero tolerance policy was charging $180 a ticket for mediocre seats.

Freedom of speech is a governmental policy, not a policy for corporations.

You really think corporations shouldn’t reprimand employees if they ran around HQ harassing other employees or threatening them?

Freedom of Speech is in place to critique and be outspoken about your government and country, not to run around being a douchebag under the guise of “I can say whatever I want, freedom of speech, bitch!”

Because they don’t understand the intent of the policy, in my opinion.

I don’t see them singing the same tune when it would allow for their significant other to be verbally harassed by co-workers in the office.

I don’t know many cases where players are verbally assaulting fans first.

Lol, no I never said it was good or bad. I totally understand what they’re doing. I just think theirs irony in that last week Silver literally was touting free speech as a value of the NBA and then this week is saying hey you say something insulting or offensive to there players there is 0 tolerance for that.

I think you guys are completely missing what my comment was about. Adam Silver said last week that Freedom of Speech is, "Paramount for the NBA", amongst other comments in regards to how important it is for them. LITERALLY ALL I'm saying is there's irony in saying that one week and then saying we have a 0 tolerance policy now for offensive speech.
Yes, I understand the differences between corporations and the government, and speaking out on social issues and running around being obnoxious at a Blazer game, I just thought it was funny.
Nowhere did I say someone should be allowed to go harass people, nowhere did I say someone should be able to insult each other. I never even made a claim to if I thought it was good or bad, I just found a slight bit of humor in it.
