You're not wrong. 32 times in his 665 game career he's logged a 0/0 (points/rebounds). I guess the good news is he only plays this shitty 4.8% of the time?

Most of the time the coach yanks him much more quickly. Stotts gave him the second longest leash of minutes on that list.

I doubt Stotts makes that mistake again. He's got other options.

Not saying much, but this was Meyers last night in a start.

    1) Talent was pretty equal last year. 2) Their returning talent is very established, while ours has a lot of questions to be answered. 3) Grant was a tremendous addition for them on paper, being a near-perfect fit.

Think about it this way: How bad do you have to be to make Terry Stotts of all people change his rotation after only one half !

I watch them in preseason when they push the ball up the floor both units. Last night right back to the half court majority of the time. Right now the 2nd unit can't play half court offense to much thinking how to initiate it especially with Mario last night. That unit has to get the boards and run for now until they get use to the half court stuff.

to log an assist the guy you pass to has to make a shot....we shot in the mid 20s percentage wise...that's going to reflect in the assist numbers

Last year, 60% of field goals leaguewide were assisted. Blazers were below that, but still averaged a little over 54%. Last night--13 assists on 36 made field goals, or 36%. The Blazers would have had to have converted 10 of those "missed assists" just to get up to a 50% assisted figure.

This wasn't an issue of people just missing shots; this was an issue of players trying (inefficiently) to create offense for themselves rather than looking to create open shots for others.

CJ doesn’t need 20 shots if he’s not hitting them, we’re past that stage.

Skal should’ve gotten more looks. He was getting his shot off pretty easily. He has a versatile offensive skillset. Utilize it. Then again the amount of times he was wide open on the roll and CJ just ignored him....ahh fuck it it’s only one game.

CJ still has no clue playing basketball. Your shots are not falling, why not drive and get to the line? I know shooters shot but sometimes you need to use your BBIQ.

He did drive though, he had a bunch of attempts near the basket and just couldnt get them to fall. He has never really gotten calls, some of that may be on him, but to say he didnt drive is incorrect.

Denver kept CJ from creating his shot or getting to the rim most of the night...credit their defense....not that CJ didn't dribble 200 times trying to get open ..we threw Denver the ball trying to pass out of traffic so many times last night that guys started not trusting the pass. What needed to improve most from my view was our perimeter d and setting some screens so our 3 pt shooters can get a good shot off...we missed those monster screens Nurk, Big Ed and even Meyers used to set at the key....Skal Zach and Hassan need to set better screens before rolling to the paint

Not to pile on, but keep an eye on Whiteside. Dude barely even makes contact on screens.

That's why I mentioned Zach Skal and Hassan.....they all set weak screens ..Mason Plumlee gave his three pt shooters half and hour to shoot last night...great screens

That's the one thing I'll definitely miss about Meyers.

If a player goes to set a screen and the defender goes and double teams your teammate with the ball before you set the screen, should you continue with that screen or slip it?
