There's our one and only pick from the 2007 Draft. Havn't seen him play much for Ohio State, but I know he was the 6th man of the year. Opinions on the selection?
Daquean Cook is a quality backup SG for when Dwayne Wade needs a rest. He will bring energy to the game and play on the perimiter. He should fit in well with the heat's offense. I do not understand why the Heat did not just draft Daquean Cook, why draft Jason Smith then trade him? Does anyone have any idea why they did this?
probably to replace for Zo? or 76ers wanted smith and offered them cook who is a solid backup player since he won 6th man of the year.

The same reason Minnesota drafted Brandon Roy at 6 last year, when their guy was Randy Foye all along. They knew Portland wanted Roy, so they worked out a deal where they can swap player and Minny could also get a little something extra.
