Air is full of smoke. My eyes are burning. I sprayed water all over my backyard. The street is deserted, very rare for Sunday afternoon. Everyone is inside. Lucia uncomfortable.
We got a bunch of smoke up here a couple years ago and it's awful. We had worse air than Beijing. Try to stay inside!
We aren't evacuated. My neighbor's daughter is staying with her, she lives in Sonoma, which is evacuated. I'm going to close Lucia in earlier than usual. It's dark now. If we have to evacuate I don't want to have to search for a frightened cat in darkness.
I really hope you pass through this scare unscathed....keep heavy blankets close in case you need to roll kitties up in them or beat out any sparks...keep plenty of water handy...fingers crossed!
Be safe @crandc. I wish you the best. Hopefully, you don't have to evacuate. If you do be careful. My thoughts are with you and your cats. P.S. Please keep those prediction game cookies safe
These fires suck, its constant for Californians. Can't imagine living there again. Was in Northern Cal for about 15 years, and SD for 9. Never again.
We are out of immediate danger, although wind knocked out traffic lights and my Comcast. At least I was motivated to update my emergency kit and add a few things.
I work in Healdsburg and live in Sebastopol. Both were evacuated and although I’m permitted to return home, my work is still under mandatory evacuation. Not too easy to evacuate since we have a horse but we managed to get everything squared away safely. Currently still no power at home but I charged up in the car and have internet so I could follow the Blazer game. Shit! I don’t expect power to be restored soon since another bad windstorm expected tomorrow evening.
Apparently I'm a sap with nothing else to think about, but really hoping @crandc @Further and our other Cali based forum members are all safe and doing well, with no property damage.
