I wish. Part of me is glad because losing these games makes players/management work harder to fix things. And there is a lot that needs to be fixed. Nurkic and Collins covered up a lot of glaring weaknesses. Now those weaknesses are exposed and need to be dealt with.

Honestly I didn't mind all 4 of them leaving. But the writing was on the wall with Aminu due how he was use in the playoffs and Olshey wanted Zach to start. The other 2 Olshey wanted someone fill in for Nurk until got healthy and that's Leonard and Harkless left. Turner trade for Bazemore that to me wash they both drive me crazy sometimes. Your right new people need to adjust with the old and vice verses.

Yea but actually they design there defense against Dame more then CJ. There more straight up with CJ and Dame they run 2 players at him to get the ball out of his hands and CJ not so much. Simons when playing with Dame going get open shots and does what he supposed he shoots it where catches it and when he takes someone off the dribble in nothing fancy but he goes straight to the hoop he stop for mid range or takes to the hoop. Cj occasionally will do catch and shoot but majority of the time he he has to dance around until he get to his spots and sometimes it comes out good and sometimes it allows 2 or 3 playerscollapse on him and takes tuff shot.

Reading this thread made me feel like i'm reading a Rockets message board.
I get it, you guys don't like CJ when his shots aren't falling, yes i read about 20 posts here about that one time Simons was semi-open and didn't get the pass, i get it.

Can't wait till you guys realize Simons might miss his shots and he might turn the ball over too when the spotlight will be on him. Then you'll starts the Simons trade demands.

Coach Smiley allows Lillard and CJ to run around taking turn on iso plays, praying they'll hit enough difficult shots to win. That's his system!
He's a nice guy, never confronted his players about playing more solid. So what is there to complain about? we're happy when Lillard hits enough 30 footers, but angry when they aren't going in? what are we doing here? Why can't we just play like a normal team instead?

I left them on a bunch of seats. I had about 15 of them.

I actually went to a guy in a Paul George shirt and gave it to him too.

So youre fine with a player ignoring the hot hand who's wide open for 3 so that he can shoot a contest mid-range pullup against a double team?

who was the hot hand? and is one play now considered the norm. If you are referring to Simons as the hot hand, his percentage was slightly less than both Lillard and McCollum last night and neither one of them shot very well. I love Lillard and he's my favorite player but the guy had zero points in the 4th and forced many shots in that quarter. Also, for whatever reason the new players aren't gelling right now, but it doesn't mean that it can't and won't change and in typical S2 forum fashion panic sets in.

He struggled in the 1st half, got hot in the 2nd. That play was in the 2nd. It was a poor play by McCollum, even if Simons was cold.

Simons wasn't alone on an island, his defender would've been on him by the time he got the pass.
It's one possession, lets calm ourselves down here.

You're such a loyal fan, i'm absolutely ,100% Sure this isn't the first time you've seen CJ or Lillard go for a tough attempt while some other player is open.
We don't play solid basketball for such long stretches, one mistake doesn't bother me as much as the overall system and i'm sure you're with me on this.

Players, including Lillard and any other player on the team will make some bad decisions now and then and you are harping on 1 play? Simons also had more shots (12) than both Lillard(4)and McCollum(4) combined in the 4th, which you have to admit both of those players missing all 4 of their shots in the 4th is highly unusual.

The 4th quarter problem was their defense all the talk about who shot what shots, they gave up 37, points were committing bad fouls got in the penalty super early (some of thats debatable if it was their fault), but they lost cause the 3 guard line up was dreadful defensively.

Hahaha One play. I love CJs game more than most but he has been weak at playmaking for a long time.

Dame and CJ are 2nd and 4th in minutes played. Not sustainable, they have to get their teammates involved. Dame's doing great so far averaging 7.1 assists (10th).

If it was only 1 play, I wouldnt be harping on it. McCollum has a tendency to make this type of play far too often. And just because Simons has taken more shots doesn't mean CJ should ignore him when he's wide open just to shoot a double-teamed mid-range jumpshot.

That play is harped on because it is one example of a constant. And because Simons was on a roll.
